Ok… YUMMMMM. I have always wanted to try out this restaurant in Little Italy. I had the rigatoni with four cheese sauce and hubby had ravioli. They give you complementary house style«bruschetta» that is so warm and soft and tasty! The waiter, Rich?, had worked there for 15 years and honest recommendations. For appetizer we had the MELANZANE– amazing. They make their sauces fresh and their pasta– what more can you ask for?! I still reminisce about my weeks spent in Italy over 10 years ago, and this came pretty close. Enough said. Arrividerci!

Went to a catered event here(upstairs). Worked out well, better than dining experience downstairs. Was impressed that they managed to keep pasta nice and el dente in large serving containers.

The ambience was very nice with a European flare. The wait staff were very attentive and the food was nothing short of delicious. I started off the night with complimentary bread and bruschetta, followed by fried calamari, straciatella soup, and a tomato basil salad with bocacinni. I had the lemon veal, It was very tender and very good — the pasta was good as well with a sweet under tone. The Italian flag flies high in Windsor!

After searching venues halls and restaurants to host my up coming wedding my mother and I decided to grab lunch. This was my first visit here and immediately adored this place. My waiter was amazing, atmosphere was clean and inviting. I decided I wanted my wedding here. After the ever so patient waiter answered every question and detail I had asked with«its your day mam, whatever you like we can accomplish» I was more than satisfied. I then returned for dinner with my fiancé who was absolutely thrilled and amazed by the great food and awesome service

Every time I come to Windsor I try to set some time aside for a meal at Spagos. The food is outstanding. Today I had the trout stuffed with shrimp, and was impressed again. Top notch service, big portions, very fair on the price. Highly recommended!

One of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at and that’s coming from someone who’s been to Italy and had authentic Italian Cuisine. The linguine Alfredo was incredibly delicious and the bread that is brought as an appetizer is delicious.

Never knew there is a little Italy in Windsor. OK, it really isn’t. It’s just a street or two but there are around 10 restaurants and a few bakeries, which is good enough for me. I read the reviews of Spago and overall a solid 4 stars. The freshly made bread and marinated tomatoes are awesome. We waited a few minutes for it because its made on the spot. Good way to start a meal. We then moved on to the Risotto balls, they were somewhat average, but the sauce I kept going back to over and over. It’s very sweet, tangy and just full of flavor. Our entrees, Veal Parmesan sandwich and a Veal Scallopini are very good. If you like garlic and spices, you will be pretty happy here. I simply couldn’t finish the sandwich but tried. We opted to skip desert since we wanted to walk around a but. The only downside for us was getting a taxi to take us back to the casino.

I absolutely LOVE this place! I grew up in Windsor, and whenever I come back I always go here with my family. The restaurant is located on Erie street, which is a well-known strip containing many nice Italian restaurants. The only thing I would say about this area is, it is hard to find street parking. I usually park on a side street, or I will pay to park in one of the municipal lots. I have always had absolutely wonderful service. Once I came, and the wait for a table was pretty long. While we were standing and waiting, a waiter came buy to offer us free appetizers(seafood skewer) to snack on. When you are seated, they give you fresh bread, with roasted whole garlic cloves which you can use as a spread for your bread. I have to recommend their grilled Calimari! I cannot describe how delicious this is. It is drizzled with balsamic vinegar and it is so soft it melts in your mouth. Can’t wait to go back the next time I’m in town :)

Let me start this review with a line from a shakesphere play«All that glisters is not gold.» Now this line is used to describe a not so pretty thing with great value. This is not one of those times. First of all the food, it was good, but the portions were small. Second the service wasn’t sanitary. at all. They were snotty and they smelt of old fermented garlic. The food was reminiscent of a meal you would serve seven degenerate dwarves.

Extraordinary service, great good from appetizers, salad to main course. Four of us from Toronto visited Windsor and found this restaurant on Unilocal.Perhaps a bit to our surprise. The food was so good, the service was so great, that we were all very impressed. I ordered the seafood linguini, first bite reminded me of one that I had from my favourite restaurant in Venice Italy. This place easily beats 80% of Italian restaurants in Toronto. I m very happy and a bit jealous that local residents can have this treat. At remarkable prices too!

Boy oh boy – What a treat! If you are within driving distance of this place, I suggest you get in the car right this minute and put the pedal to the metal. By far the best Italian food I have had since I was in Italy. As soon as you sit down in this beautiful restaurant they will bring nice warm garlic bread with the absolute most delicious bowl of chopped tomatoes with garlic and olive oil. Oh my god I had 2 bowls of the tomatoes and probably could of had more. For an appetizer we shared the Arancini(Traditional Sicilian rice balls with tomato sauce, mozzarella and parmesan cheese). Tasted just like Italy. We had 4 people in our group and they made sure to bring one for each person. So delicious! My meal was the Fettuccine Con Salsiccia E Pepperoni Rosso(Homemade egg fettuccine noodles tossed with Italian homemade sausage, roasted red peppers and fresh tomato sauce). The BF had the Pollo Speciale(Breaded chicken breast prepared with spinach, fresh mushrooms, our fresh tomato sauce and touch of cream). The in-laws both had the trout special. These pieces of trout were huge. Not your average lake trout. Had to be ocean trout. Came stuffed with scallops and shrimp with a cream sauce and veggies. Impossible for them to eat it all. They could have shared but were happy to take home the leftovers. Dessert was of course a Nutella Cheesecake and a Strawberry Cheesecake with a round of Limoncello shots for the table. Everything was perfect. The staff here is wonderful. The hostess was amazing and made sure to get us a table when I called and told her we were traveling a great distance to get there. Our waiter was also so helpful and nice. This was an absolute perfect meal and I cannot wait to return to Windsor just for this restaurant. Buona fortuna per il tuo ristorante!

I came here today with my friend. We both have never been here before but I heard of it on Unilocal and suggested it. The interior is beautiful. I love wooden floors and the sunlight coming in through the windows was super cliché but made the place feel cozy. My friend had the Gnocchi Michelangelo and I had the Spaghetti Pescatore. We were given some nice Italian bread with roasted garlic. It was delicious! My friend has never seen garlic roasted in its skin so it was a treat for her. We were very happy with the olive oil and balsamic vinegar on the table :) We had two baskets of bread while waiting for our meal which took about a little over an hour. House salads came out with our meals and they were simply tasty! I was thankful it was a leafy salad with no cheese(I don’t like cheese and yet I like Italian food, I know right?) I wish I had more because their dressing is divine. My friend chose blush sauce for her gnocchi. She was happy with the amount because she could pack the leftovers home to munch on. She loved the meal, the salad, and the bread very much. I thought my my meal’s calamari would be fried and hard but it was the opposite. I like my calamari the former way because that’s what I’m used to so I was surprised. I gave ALL my calamari to my friend who loved it. My meal came with another plate that’s to be used to put the empty shells of my clams and mussels. The sauce was great but a little too salty for me(and I LOVE salty foods). I wish they soaked the shellfish a little longer because I chewed some sand in my food… That was a turn off. But the shellfish were delicious. My friend suggested ordering pizza since I told her that’s what most of the reviews were raving about. We’re going to come back to split on a pizza to see what all the hype is about :) I’d also definitely try out other menu items and I could HONESTLY come back JUST for the bread and salad. It’s SO good.

If you want authentic italian food at a fair price, this is the place to be! The food is amazing! To start, they bring you fresh bread with butter and a whole head of garlic that is soaked in olive oil and baked(I’m guessing). It’s tastes amazing when spread over the bread. I ordered the Pollo Speciale, with a side of pasta and it was delicious! Words can’t do it justice… so I posted a pic up, so make sure you check it out lol. My order came with a mixed greens salad with a creamy balsamic dressing… also amazing! Service was great, especially considering they were extremely busy for lunch. Also, I forgot to mention that the portion was very generous! Try this place out, I promise you won’t be disappointed!

A perfect place for lunch before hitting the Windsor Casino. They start you off with some incredible bread and roasted garlic spread. I then ordered the personal pizza classico and split it with a buddy — there was plenty for both of us. The pepperoni was delicious and the sauce just right. Don’t be in a big hurry because they really bake the pizza for a long time giving it that real old fashion Italian taste and texture A friend had the Italian wedding soup and loved it. Service was perfect.

We try to make it over to Spago’s once a year. Its worth going across the boarder, and if you go in the summer you can usually find a street fair going on in Windsor. Its on Erie street, near the tunnel(or the tunnel is easier) along a couple of block stretch called little Italy. The Trattoria is a casual place. With traditional Italian menu, but they do a great job — fresh ingredients, lots of garlic and olive oil — what’s not to love? We think the Calamari is the best. Its not bread, but grilled after being based in a Basaltic vinegar and olive oil. Extremely tender, but rubbery or chewy. The first time we came to the restaurant we order a large pizza and while waiting the waiter recommend we order an appetizer. I order the calamari, while the rest of the group stayed with the bread. The Calamari didn’t last long, and we would have order another order, but the pizza arrived. Since then we have had other dishes, always good, but we always start with the Calamari.
