Insurance Hunter

They lie beyond limit. I requested them for letter of experience. They said it will take 1 to 2 business days. That was fine with me. So, I called on the 2^nd day to get an update. Maria– saying it will take 3 to 5 business days. So, i hang up and called back after a while. and here is the update
IT WILL TAKE 15 BUSINESS DAYS TO GET LETTER OF EXPERIENCE. !!!
why. any idea? it is just a letter… not money that will have to go through lot of precess. When i called them first for the new policy. they were the best guys in the whole world. Now that i have canceled policy. they don’t give a *** about me.

I should note that if Unilocal allowed me to indicated zero stars, that’s what this company would be getting. This was my first experience using Insurance Hunters as a broker for insurance and it was an awful experience.
Last month I moved into a new condo and decided to update my home insurance. Hearing, Insurance Hunter’s ads on the radio, I decided to check them out.
I spoke to «Sales Account Manager» Matt Salisbury and obtained a quote for about $ 210 per year for condo insurance. I thought that this was fantastic since it was about $ 120 cheaper than my current insurance.
Then a few days later I got a call back from Matt letting me know that he had reviewed the application and since the alarm system in my unit was likely not linked to a centralized alarm company, the quote was now going to be $ 245. Fine, whatever, I just moved in and have no idea how the alarm works anyways. That’s what the security guard on site is for.
$ 245 is still a good deal. So I got an email from Matt outlining the quote details very clearly.
Yesterday I called Insurance Hunters back since they had the best quote I could find and decided to set up my condo insurance through them. We processed my application and everything seemed fine. The coverage was going into effect at 12:01 am on February 1^st.
With that taken care of, I contacted my previous insurer to cancel my coverage as of February 1.
This morning, I get a call from Matt again letting me know that one of the discounts he had included in my quote was not being honored by the Insurance Company. The cost was now going to be $ 292, which is less than $ 20 a year difference than what I was paying before.
I thought to myself, how is it that I went from a WRITTEN quote of $ 210 to getting the paperwork for the insurance, which indicates $ 292???
Granted that my experience may not reflect how the company operates as a whole and may just be the incompetence of one employee but since Unilocal isn’t’ set up to review individuals, this will apply to Insurance Hunters in general.
In any case, I’ve gotten better quotes with other companies now and will not be dealing with these crooks.
And if anyone from Insurance Hunters reads this, please note that, as the old saying goes, a happy customer may tell one or two people about their experience but an unhappy one will tell a dozen or more, will certainly apply in this case.
Maybe you should take some of that advertising budget and put it to covering the discounts that aren’t honored by your insurance companies…
