What a great little place tucked away in one of the myriad Wyandotte St strip malls. Friendly people churning out delicious grilled flatbreads while you wait — we loved the veggie and the meat with cheese. Place was packed and no wonder.

Grabbed another shawarma shake today for lunch, however this time chicken and omg it was amazing! Also ordered a side of picked turnip(my fav) and a grapeleaf roll, which I can honestly say was the bestest and freshest grapeleaf roll I have ever had!

Average food that is overpriced, they hardly put any veggies, service is good, if you want a nice filling shawarma, shawarma palace downtown is by far the best tasting shawarmas in Windsor

Really good food for a great price. Chicken is pretty standard, beef is okay. The shish tawook is great if you’re not in a rush. Their shwarmas are pretty good and I love their shake option(shawarma sandwich without the tortilla) but you haaaave to get the veggie plate. I love love the falafel and baba ghanoush. So good.

Hamoudi’s is a shawarma restaurant located right off Dougall Ave close to the Walmart(I think there’s only one Wal-Mart so Windsorites might know what I’m talking about). The place itself isn’t small as it can house quite the crowd. Menu consists pretty much of just shawarmas and dinner plates. They have some skewers and such, but come on platters. The shawarma themselves are pretty decent. The meat is very flavorful, but are a bit too greasy for my liking. The toppings are all good and they really pile them on. Prices are standard for Windsor as you’ll find all shawarmas in the $ 5 range. Service is quick and they have desserts like baklava here as well.

Okay so although this isn’t the greatest shawarma place around but I have to give it 4 stars for two main reasons, firstly the serving staff is always very pleasant and warm. Secondly, it’s the only shawarma place in South Windsor which is wwwaaaayyyyy over do. It’s nice not to have to go downtown or to the east end for some delicious and quick shawarma. This place is a little different to most shawarma places in Windsor as it has a huge seating area, which is usually at least half filled. They have some different options too, something they call«a shake» which is basically shawarma stuff in a bowl, nice option if you don’t want a wrap. They also have your other basics like hummus, dolma(stuffed grape leaves) rice with tika and what not. I usual always get the falafel wrap with everything. The ingredients are great(I love the pickled beets) and the garlic sauce is on point… Sssooo ggooodddd. The falafel its self isn’t bad, not the best but I’m finding more and more that it’s quite hard to find very very good falafel. They also have laben(Arabic yogurt drink) which can sometimes be hard to find. You should definetly check this place out if you live in South windsor or if you’re just in the area.

First time I tried this shawarma place. Everything on the menu looked amanzing and everything was priced reasonably. I tried a Lebanese style burger and it was was really really good. The burger was cooked fresh to order. The portion was amazing and you get to choose the toppings as you go. For 5 bucks plus tax, you can’t beat it. Im looking forward to try other menu items.

Average food, but it is at a great location and the prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is new and the staff seems to take hygiene seriously. There are more and more shawarma places opening up. Will shawarma places out numbered pizzerias Windsor one day?

Overpriced mediocre food. I felt like I got robbed. The portions are a joke. They are very chintzy with food. Hummazing by far is best bang for the buck. Too bad I can’t give them no stars. Will never go back.

Great and very friendly service. Nice to have a shawarma place in South Windsor, and it’s pretty affordable, too.

A new shawarma in town? Windsor has so many… But it’s nice this one iwas parking, and is in the south end. Tonight was a grab dinner and watch movies kind of night, so we opted to try out Hamoudi’s. Very clean, very friendly staff and the menu is pretty clear and easy to read /decide what you want. The prices are posted… So you know, extra garlic will cost you, just likea side of veggies… Smart, consistent… Good business. When trying a new shawarma place– you have to order a decent sampling to make sure you know the food is ALL good. Tonight’s order included chicken /beef shawarma plate with rice, includes fattoush salad and the garlic sauce & pita. Then, ordered a falafel to see how they are, side of hummus with turnips & pita. Thoughts: Beef was good! Chicken, good, little dry/bland I like the juicier chicken. Garlic sauce, they don’t mess around, it’s as good as the other top notch places in town. Hummus, good, not dry, not runny– perfect. The rice… Is kept warm in a warmer(not heated in styrofoam… Nice) also good, pairs well with garlic always ;) Falaffal was made fresh to order, not sure if that’s the norm or just my luck… But so good! The shawarma plate… Is $ 10 good deal, comparable to everyone else. The only thing I didn’t care for was the tiny amount of salad you get.(just fits the small corner of a takeout) they load it up with way to much rice… And then give you a tiny tiny bit of fatuously salad. Again. I get cost saving, but lettuce? Really? A little goes along way… I love the salad… There was enough dressing I just added more lettuce when I got home. Overall good, I wish this business well… I will be back. Wouldn’t mind trying a shawarma shake,(a cup with all the shawarma toppings, no bread) Its not blended(ew)… Just a little cup to go. Check it out, hope you Iike it!
