Escape Cafe On the River

This place is horrible. The food wait is insane! The hookah inside is so suffocating and the place is sketchy. Staff is arrogant

I wish I read the review before going. I went with others — we have driven by this place many times. The concierge said it was good. I have other words to call this place but won’t type it. Nachos were decent. Mozzarella sticks were a joke — 6 very thin ones. Calamari is not their specialty. At 40% after 8PM appetizers were not worth it.
I order the lamb chops and they looked disgusting when they arrived. I asked for other ones and was told after 10 minutes that they all looked the same. Seriously they were very thin and dried out and very fatty. They looked like they were on the counter for a week and then they decided to cook them. I asked the waitress how she could server something that looked so bad. The rice was horrible! The waitress offered me $ 5 off my meal. I told her I wouldn’t pay a dime for it and to replace it with something else.
Other people got the chicken and beef kabobs. Definitely below average. Someone got a different type of chicken kabob and said it was horrible. I traded my lamb surprise in for some chicken Kabobs. I ate half a skewer and then decided to leave hungry. Service was very slow. There was only 1 woman in the kitchen. Our waitress was also the bartender. The place was empty. After 2 hours it was time to leave.
Lebanese food is definitely better elsewhere. Stay far away from this place. The music was definitely not middle-​eastern. There were also a bunch of little kids running around and dancing and singing (chefs kids we guessed).
