My go to Western Omelette place. Nice, small cozy spot for a quiet, very reasonably priced meal.

My husband and I stopped into Deb’s this afternoon before my appointment which was down the street, and we weren’t disappointed! From the moment we entered the diner, we felt right at home, it was cozy and warm, and Deb was a real sweetheart. I had the grilled cheese, which is made with REAL cheddar, not processed cheese — even says so on the menu, and the hubby had the hamburger which he just loved, it even SMELT yummy, and both came with home made potato chips, which were perfect! When I was perusing the rest of the menu, it looked quite promising, and we will DEFINITELY return and tell others about this little gem! Thanks for the great hospitality Deb!

Average food, cheeky service. Bring cash! Fulfills a needed diner/breakfast niche in windsor

Many a day I’ve randomly dropped in to Deb’s, and it has never disappointed. I try to hit up random places around town, but find myself coming back here without even realising it. The food is fantastic, with generous portions, especially given the very reasonable prices, and quality of food. I’ve mostly experienced breakfast, but I’ve been tempted by the plates of food I see at neighbouring tables; I don’t think there is a single thing on the menu that I wouldn’t enjoy. Service is always good; courteous, knowledgeable of the menu, and quick. At some point during your meal, you can usually expect Deb to show up ensuring everything is satisfactory, and get opinions of your experience(especially with her random specials). Often find myself in a bit of a chat, and makes the at-home feel of the diner all that much stronger. This is definitely the best breakfast I’ve experienced in Windsor, and I’m comparing to probably 30 places I’ve been to this last year.

This place did nothing for me in terms of food and service. My friend and I both had the Deb’s Diner Breakfast. She had her two eggs over easy, 3 pieces of bacon, toast, and home fries(with onions). I had my eggs scrambled with no milk, 3 links of sausages, asked to substitute my toast for one pancake, and home fries(with onions). My friend had coffee and I had water. My friend wanted her home fries with no onions and asked the waitress if that was possible. The waitress rudely said to her it was already mixed with the potatoes and there was no other way. For me, I asked if I could substitute my toast with one pancake(since other diners said it was completely doable) but I wasn’t going to be a baby about it if I didn’t get my way. Again, after a simple question, the waitress rudely said that it wasn’t possible. I said okay and we ordered our drinks. After, the waitress said she’d go check if it was possible(rolling her eyes here) and left. There was another table full of men near the front of the diner where the waitress spent most of her time. I do not know who Deb is, if she’s the younger lady or the older lady on Facebook but we had the older lady as our waitress. She CATEREDTOTHATTABLEFULLOFMEN. She took over 10-minutes to get our coffee and water and every time she came out of the kitchen, she bypassed my friend and I and another table of women to BEELINE for that table of men. We couldn’t even ask her a question because she ignored us. After much waiting, we finally got our food. My meal was missing home fries so I got up and went to the cash where the waitress was talking to a male customer. I waited in line like any other customer and I was NOT impatient. The male customer was first so I respected that. The waitress took one look at me, rolled her eyes, and said«excuse me for a sec» to the male customer and again, rudely said to me «What do you want?» I’m so angry at this point but I don’t let it show. I inform her my meal is missing home fries and she waves at me and says it’ll be there. No apology and continues talking to the guy. After getting back to my table, my friend and I ate. During this time, my friend had finished her coffee and the waitress had already passed our table a couple of times. No offer of refills or anything. My friend slowly raised her hand to catch the waitress’ attention mid beeline for the table of men, to ask for more coffee. The waitress huffed, refilled, and clanked it down then went back to that table of men. Not only did we have terrible service but the food was nothing special. I would not recommend this place.

This is a wonderful little diner on Ottawa Street. I had the standard egg/bacon breakfast. I think they have some of the best home-fries in Windsor. The service was good. If possible, we should all support local small business. There are just too many Tim Hortons and McDonalds around. For couple dollars more, you can have a great breakfast in a locally owned diner. I’m sure I will comeback for lunch someday.

I just happen to find this, as my daughter was at the clinic at Ottawa & Moy St. The place was pretty empty at 9 am,(1 person and me) as customers. The breakfast was ok, nothing special, but the owner was wonderful. She had a very loveable personality and was witty and well informed with current events. I wish her well, by the time I left approx. 4 – 6 more people had come in for breakfast. The place was cute and very clean.
