I was in Windsor for the afternoon and as I was driving down Wyandotte st to my destination I saw the sign for Candylicious. Being that I’m attracted to both candy and things that are adorable and colorful I did a total double take in my car. Sadly I had to head to a meeting so I was unable to stop but I made a mental note to go back after. On the way back I again forgot about it until I was driving by. Another double take. A slight hesitation, and then I promptly turned on the next street and drove through the alley’s to get back to the shop. I’m serious about my candy, y’all! The front display is super adorable as I said. Very candy colored and cute. It really stands out on the block which is pretty dreary and nondescript. Upon walking in the first thing I noticed was just how darn nice the staff was. There was a fella and a gal in there and another customer and they were all chatting and being really friendly. I strolled around and noticed, my to my joy, the dark chocolate Aero bars. I’ve only ever seen these in Canada and since I don’t always get out there I decided to stock up. They also carry a number of European candy bars that I got into when I went to England in college so I picked up a few of those. Those are a bit easier to find but still exciting nonetheless. They have a nice selection of current day treats as well as retro candies and for pretty reasonable prices. I dug into the laffy taffy bins since they were only .10 cents Canadian. Woop! I realized I didn’t have any Canadian cash on me but luckily they take credit/debit. I chatted with the nice staff as I finished ringing up my purchases and then I promptly got into my car and took a big ‘ol bite out of that Aero bar. Heaven! Bubbly chocolate heaven!
