Beautiful church that has fallen into a sad state of disrepair. On my last visit down I drove over and to my shock, the church is closed.
I’ve attended many weddings and far too many funerals for this place not to affect me.
Stunning on the inside with gorgeous architectural features completely matches the beauty of the building from the outside.
I heard that this church approached the government for assistance for needed renovations, under the Heritage Building grant program. Unfortunately, the federal government rejected the appeal as they deemed churches not to be eligible for funding and not of any historical value. Unfortunate, as this old gem on the west end truly is a beauty.
