Not exactly the most high-end or high-quality Mexican food, but hits the spot and fulfills your craving. Always have had a good experience. I highly recommend the Tijuana for all my chicken lovers out there! Also drench yourself in the chips and salsa and guac. Yum.

Simply best late night food I have had since I moved to Windsor. Acapulco is my favourite, I can finish it all by myself. I also love their salsa.

Love this place! It’s our group hangout, the bean fries supreme is delicious the best in town. The owner knows us by name and is super friendly. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone that enjoys Mexican food!

I really like this place now. It’s pretty bare bones, authentic Latin cuisine. Rice is always done well and you can’t fuck up refried beans. I do enjoy their offerings(Cancun, Acapulco +Tijuana combos are excellent). Best late night delivery spot in Windsor by a long long long shot. I don’t care. I love it.

Absolutely love this place! Great food, great price and if you order any alcoholic beverage, they’ll make it incredible. The staff are nice and definitely remember those who keep coming back. An amazing little hole in the wall restaurant.

I was lucky enough to be introduced to Acapulco by a friend, and we arrived at 3:00am on a Saturday night. We grabbed the last table left and my friend grabbed a few menus for us(otherwise it would have taken forever to see a menu) and got our order in right away. It took over a half hour(as we expected) for our food to arrive, and they forgot one of my friend’s orders, but it was 3am on a Saturday… so we expected something like that to happen. The food was AMAZING! They had many vegetarian options(yay!) and marked which items could be made vegetarian or vegan, and the options were more than just cheese. I was super impressed by the rich taste, with nothing too salty or Americanised, and very generous servings. Super fresh taste, mastering the staples and full of flavour. We were told by many people that it’s a much better experience on the weekdays when it is not overflowing-out-the-door busy, but I couldn’t have imagined a better end to the night. We will be back soon.

A windsor staple, Family owned and operated, it’s the go to place on a friday or saturday night when you got the booze munchies. Service is great, atmosphere is awesome. Feels like home, and the food leaves you so satisfied.

The food is bland and the place is run down.

The place looks pretty sketchy from the outside but the service is always friendly and they have the BEST guacamole I’ve ever had!

Anybody in downtown Windsor who’s out partying and wants a good bite to eat late night should flock to Acapulco. The prices are right, the food is as authentic as you will ever have outside of Mexico and Kevin is great.

The Good: It’s Cheap — The food(and drinks) are pretty cheap. You can get a full meal for just over $ 10. That’ll come with a drink, rice, beans and your main dish. It’s Delicious — I have never had a meal there that I didn’t like. I was never a big fan of re-fried beans until I came here. The rice is pretty standard, but tasty. My absolute favorite are the beef chimichangas. They give you a basket of nachos(so tasty) with a bowl of hot salsa and a bowl of pico de gallo. Their pico de gallo is the best I’ve ever had. It’s consistently great every single time. In fact, so are the beef chimichangas and everything else I’ve had there multiple times. It’s definitely one of the restaurants I miss the most not living in Windsor anymore. Just the Right Amount of Food — I very rarely don’t finish my meal. I’m never overly stuffed either. It’s just like I said… just the right amount of food. The Bad: Their Hours — You really have no idea what they are. I thought going for dinner at 7pm would be fine, but one time I went and they were still closed. Turns out they opened at 7:30pm that day. They always fluctuate. It seems like it’s just whenever they feel like opening the place, so if you want to eat there it’s best to have a late dinner so you know they’ll be open. The one good thing about the late hours is that they’re open until about 4am on the weekends so it’s a hot spot after the bar and you don’t have to rush. The Décor — It is probably the dumpiest place I have ever been to. The décor is incredibly outdated and could use an upgrade. Plus, it’s totally random. There are large fish tanks that don’t look like they’ve been cleaned in years. At one point there was a big screen TV tucked in one corner of the restaurant with a couch and some chairs piled around it. There’s a random fooseball table in one room with a large BBQ pushed up against the wall. The list goes on. However, if you can look past it, it almost adds to the experience. The Service — The service is generally pretty good, but can sometimes be slow. The food comes out quickly, but if you’re sitting in the big dining room, the waiter is usually at the bar in the other room watching TV or hanging out. Sometimes you have to go grab him to tell him you’re ready.

We went there for our friend’s birthday(who is Mexican, so we let her be the judge of the food’s authenticity). The place looks a little dumpy, truth be told. Definitely not appropriate for like a romantic dinner or something. The food was, according to the birthday girl, authentic. I was not too impressed since I’ve had Mexican food that was much better before — I ordered the Chicken Chimichangas and they were pretty bland. Overall I’d rate it «Meh», I don’t know if I’d go again.

My girlfriend and I love this place. We used to go here all the time, and have some awesome Mexican food and a cold beer on their patio.
