Quite small but cozy and has a small town feel. Staff are friendly and knew the names of many of the customers, indicating that locals keep returning. Typical breakfast fare with some interesting choices for lunch. Portions are big but most of the items on the menu are also available in half-sizes(cuts down on cost too). The place closes in the middle of the afternoon so there are no evening dinners. Some tables are outside(great for people watching). The only difficulty I’ve had is getting a table on weekend mornings — the place can be packed, especially in the summer. The wait wasn’t too long and was worth it(great for hearing snippets of conversation from adjoining tables). For people by themselves you are unlikely to be given a table just for yourself — sharing is the norm on busy mornings. I don’t like sitting with strangers to eat but on this occasion shared a table with a friendly young woman. Almost immediately after I sat opposite her we mutually agreed not to talk to one another and read our own books. Perfect! The place has an atmosphere all of its own and it is worth visiting just for that alone. I recommend the eggs beni. The half size is quite filling enough.

Food was okay. Homemade bread. Way too much orange juice in the mimosa. Small space. Over priced. $ 3 for coffee but $ 1 for refills. We came in and sat down and we were not spoke to for awhile, no one would make eye contact with us as if they didn’t want to help us. The gentleman cooking the food was extremely friendly and finally came over when he noticed no one else had… The older lady just seemed annoyed of anyone coming through the door. We never were asked how everything was after the food had been placed in front of us. I doubt I will be back.

I have no idea what the food is like because they only seemed interested in serving customers over 50 years of age. I sat with my daughter at a table for 5 minutes and the servers just kept walking by us in favor of older couples.

Disappointing. Did not meet my expectations. My wife and I went for brunch today. She had a great experience last time she went but not so much today. Food was decent enough but overpriced. $ 3 for self serve coffee but they charge $ 1 for refills. I have never heard of such a thing. We waited about 45 minutes for food which would be fine if the food was exceptional but it was just average. Food/service was not in line with the price we paid. This place does not even compare to places like Blue Fox Café and Jam Café in Victoria.

My favourite place for brekky on the beach! Love the eggs Benedict with pan fried potatoes and I’m also a fan of their raspberry muffins. It’s cozy inside with only 5 tables but there is extra seating outside with warm furry chair covers for when it’s cooler. Coffee and water are off to the side so you can serve yourself. I deduct 1 star because the coffee is too weak for my tastes. Great friendly atmosphere!

Great place for breakfast. Restaurant is very small so some mornings a table can be a bit hard to come by. Traditional breakfast items made with good quality ingredients and prepared carefully. There is a nice little patio on the street and self serve coffee, so you never have to wait!

Had the eggs benny here this morning along with a few great cups of Joe. YUMMY! Good prices and perfect sized portions to still allow a stroll down the boardwalk. Enjoy!

Great breakfast and nice location. I’ve never waited for a table but the place is a little small and get crowded from time to time. The eggs Benedict is awesome… I get the chorizo and add bacon it’s so good! The has browns are homemade and pan fried… no deep fryer here! Yum!

The raspberry muffin is quite good, as are most of the egg dishes. The complaint we had was related to drinks — the coffee was below average, and hot tea & water tasted like old coffee cups. Get your drinks elsewhere but stop in for a muffin.

My favourite breakfast place right on the beach! Real bacon, real breakfast potatoes, home made bread and free range eggs makes this breakfast nummy nummy to my tummy! 9 dollars and you get 4HUGE strips of REAL bacon, two eggs, 2HUGE slices of home made wheat toast and a cup of big chunky breakfast potatoes for $ 9.00. Enjoy this all the while sitting on a nice open patio with the ocean just steps away. Downsides…the service can be a little slow and you have to get up and get your own coffee and you have to pay for parking.
