We’re a small town, so when our one and only LCBO moves into the vacated NoFrills next door and more than doubles in size, we get excited! The new store is big, bright, and holy carp — that fridge in the back with all the craft beers, ciders, and mainstream six-packs is a wonder. The Beer Store down the road is in for some hurt(there you order and your beer comes out on a conveyor, meaning no customer-accessible walk-in fridge to browse in). More parking, less crowded, and more selection — I’m sold. The only negative thing I have to say is their selection isn’t quite to the level of other LCBO’s in the region, at least not yet. I went in looking for the Dr. McGillicuddy Apple Pie that I recently tried at the Unilocal Nauti cruise, and it was nowhere to be found. Checking online, there was plenty of stock in LCBO’s across York Region — why not here? Come on guys, fix this! I can forego having access to 30 bottles of the same white vodka in exchange for some more variety!
