Came here in winter and even though the path was snowed over and a bit treacherous, it was still worth the trip. Husband and I stayed in Whistler and on our day off from carving up the mountain we decided to explore. We drove an hour away to Joffre lake, then on our way back stopped at Nairn falls and finally ended up at Whistler brewery. Was a pretty epic day.

This was a nice and easy hike along a beautiful raging river up to a fenced edge of slick stone that leads to beautiful Narin falls. Take your time on the rocks getting to the overlook, they really are very slick even when dry. There are a few trails down to the river rocks and tiny beaches, but be super careful if you take these. The earth is loose and the gravel moves. I fell more than once, but that’s part of it, I prob should’ve worn a helmet just in case. Lots of Mosquitos here too.

Easy in and out hike. Trail is groomed, delineated, and well maintained. Trail offers views of the river, mountain vistas, and woods. The waterfall viewing area ends the hike. The area is safe and fenced in. A good spot for a short rest before heading back.

Nairn Falls is breathtaking! This nature wonder is a must see for anyone who is traveling in the area. It’s a good, uphill hike for about 15 – 20 minutes to get to the waterfalls. While going up the trail, there are lush trees, beautiful foilage and water cascading down the mountain. Little kids will get tired so be sure to bring a stroller or be ready to carry them up. Some of the steps are precarious stones and they are wet from the mist so wear sensible shoes. The parking lot is good size and is big enough for buses. There is a big lawn area for picnics or walking around by the parking lot and also when you come down from the waterfalls.
