A unique stirfry concept restaurant in the heart of Whistler village where YOU get to decide exactly what goes in your meal. Unlimited combinations are possible from our wide selection of fresh vegetables, asian-​pacific noodles, succulent meats & seafood. Our pricing is not all you can eat or a flat rate per bowl. Our quality ingredients are priced by weight prior to cooking– $ 3.65/100grams or roughly $ 1 per ounce. We do not take reservations & work entirely on a first come-​first-​served basis. Come visit us before 4pm every day for 20% off food. Vegetarian/​Vegan meals receive 20% off after 4pm everyday. We have one of the top selections of any restaurant in Whistler for those with dietary restrictions or allerg (gluten-​free choices available). No. Would not return. Dinner for 4 here was $ 200. At home in SoCal we get the same Mongolian dinner for $ 65 – 70 tops… and that’s in USD! Very good and friendly service but still not worth the price tag for a meal that you have to get up and get yourself. Tourist trap. Don’t fall for it.

Awesome experience! Pretty overpriced but something to already expect in the high tourist area. I suggest taking advantage of the meat selection and skip the noodles. They give you complimentary rice in every order anyway. Maximizing sauce and meat is the way to go! Youl get the most value out of your money that way. Plus i read in their signs outside that you get 20% off your meal before 4pm.
Had great customer service from their bartender, germaine! He was very attentive and gave us great suggestions for first timers like us. He knows the area very well so you could get tips on what to do during your stay in whistler.

Stay away as far as you can! This place is a rip off and the food is below average. There are far more better places to eat in whistler than this hole. If you go at least take the small bowl instead of the large. The large cost us $ 70 PER PERSON. This place is a joke!

I have not had Mongolian in a while, so this seemed like it would be a nice change from fancy burgers and poutines.
You pay by weight, so be strategic with the bowl. It’s definitely not cheap, but as said in another review, be sure to bring your «F It, we’re on vacation» mentality. Everything is expensive in Whistler.
The food, was good. I mean, I picked out exactly what i wanted, so it’s not hard to get it right. They cook everything on the big grill, it’s not rocket science. Fun crowd, lively and loud. We would return I think.

It’s a ripped off. We are vegetarian and we paid $ 30 each just for western vegetables cooked in Asian style. Drinks are not very good either. We could’ve spent $ 80 somewhere else for better food in Whistler.

This place was great. I had an amazing experience with awesome service and food selection. A little pricy, but definitely worth it! The best part about it is you can pick and choose your own starch, veggies, meat, and sauces. People with food allergies or restrictions, worry not!

This is one of my favorite stops in the Village. Ok it’s a little gimmicky but I’ll take gimmicky if it’s enjoyable!
It’s a pay by weight thing — you can pick whatever veggies, meats, garnishes and sauces in a bowl (start with the small bowl) and then they grill it up on a big flat grill.
Secret so you don’t burn off all your sauce — LAYER YOUR SAUCE IN THE MIDDLE OF YOUR BOWL. Yes they put the sauce at the end of the line, but when you top of your bowl with the sauce, that’s the first thing to hit the grill, and it basically burns right off. I put my veggies on the bottom, then walk to the end and get the sauce, and then come back and put more meats and veggies.
I’m a fan of the sea to sky and the other one near it but try it all.
Oh and they tare the weight of the bowl so you can even make TWO small bowls instead if you want to mix it up; we tried it and it was really enjoyable to have one curry sauced one and one of my favorite ones.
We can pay half as much as on the mountain and get twice as enjoyable a lunch and take a break. When you’re trying to ski as much as possible then it’s great to eat up at Rendezvous or Hortsman but if you’re out to enjoy it all, why not come down to the Village for lunch, take a break and then go back up (or get a massage and call it a day)!
They don’t seem to offer the soup unless you ask but they also offer hot and sour soup (spicy) or miso soup.
There’s a 20% off discount for lunch (before 4pm) so that’s when I would go. Never too crowded at lunch too.
Dinner can get really crowded so make a reservation if you want to go. But honestly, I’d just suggest to come here at lunchtime!

This is my favorite place to eat at when I visit. There are so many amazing options to choose from. Everything is fresh and the atmosphere is fun. Definitely the best place to take a group of friends or your family!

This place is a joke. Let’s start with the food. A lot of the veggies are westernized. It’s an Asian restaurant so why aren’t there any enoki mushrooms, sui choy, daikon etc. A lot of the sauces are not even Asian enough. That makes a big difference since it is what defines the dish. Lastly, the price… It’s a rip off. Period. Go to the Mongolian Grill in Vancouver on Denman and Georgia. Authentic sauces to choose from ex. mong pao, mong sauce, Mongolian curry etc. Plus all the meats and veggies you can eat for $ 15!
This whistler one is NOT worth it. Eat somewhere better. Get your money’s worth.

Mongolie Grill is a fine place to eat if you’re already numbed by paying so much for lodging and lift tickets in Whistler Village. Don’t forget to bring your «F it, I’m on vacation» mentality. It’s a buffet of meats/​veggies that they stir fry for you on a giant grill. It’s a fun activity for a group (or kids) and good if you’re having a hankering for Asian food. The bottom line is the food is $ 20 USD/​pound. (Yes, that includes the weight of sauce!) Here are the best tips for not walking out totally broke:
TIPS for getting more value out of your meal @ Mongolie Grill:
1. Pick up the SMALL BOWL because you’re guaranteed to take way too much with the large bowl.
2. Remember they give you UNLIMITED RICE — free!
3. Stop to ask yourself about the PER POUND VALUE.
(Ex: Noodles are super cheap but pretty heavy so skip it if you’re going for value, you’ve got rice anyways. On the other hand, mushrooms are super light in weight for how much they cost so load ‘em up. Just approach the buffet like an old Asian woman haggling in a market and you’ll rock it!)
4. Don’t put too much sauce on at the end. Liquids are heavy and you don’t want your meal to be way too salty anyways.

Anytime the name of the game is to pack as much food as you can into a bowl I’m happy :-) This is quite a bit fancier than your typical Mongolian joint, perhaps that’s why we see the steep prices.
Came here not once, but twice on a snowboard trip to Whistler. The process here couldn’t be any simpler: grab a bowl (small or large) and fill it up with whatever makes your stomach happy. I thought it was funny how they told us it’s $ 19.99/lb, but then measure it in grams. I appreciate the pounds because i’m American, but just funny to me that it’s inconsistent. I digress.
There’s plenty of vegetables, teriyaki beef, salmon, sausage, shrimp, and chicken to pile in. Though don’t get carried away because that $ 19.99/lb rate is crazy. I’ve never had Mongolian this expensive. That ski resort premium is in full effect here. That being said, the salmon was bomb, and options of sauce delicious! I had the chef’s special sauce and sky to sea (or something like that). Neither are spicy. Rice is complimentary.
I’m surprised this is listed as Vegetarian/​Vegan. Everyone’s dish is thrown onto the same grill, so the only way they could make that work is to clean it off when a vegetarian/​vegan comes through.

Meh. Overpriced; not worth it. This is the most expensive Mongolian grill I’ve ever had; $ 30+ up to $ 50 for small bowl of veggies and some meat is hard to swallow. I understand that it may cost more to transport the veggies to Whistler. I don’t understand how an Asian food could cost as much as a steak!
The space is limited so it could get crowded in buffet area. The wait time to be seated is decent.
Service is average. The woman cook at grill station was friendliest.
The food flavor really depends on sauce you mix in your bowl. Soy sauce-​based is common denominator as with most Asian dishes.
I don’t recommend this place because of the price range.

I am very torn about this review. While the food is top notch: very good selection of meats and veggies and sauces, I definitely think their prices are way too steep. It is $ 20 per pound of food. Now you may think think you would hardly eat more than a pound of food, but you would be in for a real surprise!!! They weigh the food before it is cooked and somehow a decent sized quantity of food ends up being $ 30 before you know it. I don’t mind paying $ 30 if I planned on eating at a fancy restaurant with a fine food selection, but I really REALLY don’t think Mangolie’s is worth a $ 30 plate of food.

We went to the Mongolie Grill for dinner tonight, and had an all around great experience. Our server, Brie, was specifically awesome. I couldn’t see any personality more perfect for a serving position. The boys working the grill were also really sweet! Everyone there seemed to be in great spirits. The food was also awesome, as per usual.

Great quality, fresh ingredients cooked in front of you and served up in a matter of minutes.
The concept of choosing your own stir-​fry ingredients and then having the chefs cook it up for you is entertaining and novel; however in larger groups it does mean everybody receiving their food at different times.
Rice and soup are complimentary but we had to ask for this. The soup only works as a starter if you can hold off diving straight into picking your stir fry ingredients!

11 of us stayed in Whistler for the BC Day long weekend.
The idea is simple: take a bowl, put in veggies, meat and sauce and watch the chefs cook it before your eyes. And when you come back, there are bowls of rice (unlimited!) waiting for you at the table.
I don’t completely hate the idea. After all, you get your food right away and it’s made the way you want it. But I’m kind of wary of the face that «weight = price you pay.» I mean, there are some people in our group that could eat more, and therefore paid twice the price?
My suggestion is to use a small bowl and try to avoid «heavy» veggies (like cucumbers, carrots). Stick to cabbage and the peppers. Load up on the meat. But if your bowl is more than half full, you’re probably paying around $ 22-​$ 23.

Not only is the food not that great and you pay an exorbitant amount for it and the service is pretty pathetic.
Food: you pick your own food by weight, so if you pick a lot you pay a lot. But at $ 20 per pound you aren’t really getting much. You also pick your sauces (which seem good, but really aren’t that great — they are basically like salad dressings). The foods that were out were really messily presented and there were items that were lacking.
Service: some of the people working here can’t speak English and don’t know how to respond to questions. They are also extremely rude and constantly forget things. We also asked our food to be a little firm (not too cooked) and it came out charred. It was a bad experience. When we went to pay the bill, we gave a little tip (they actually didn’t deserve anything), and then someone came after us demanding that we pay more for the tip because it’s mandatory. Um, no that’s not how it works. If you give good service, I give you good tip. It’s to insure proper service.

Craving for some asian food, we decided to give this place a shot for our first meal in Whistler. You can call this place more like a hibachi style restaurant. You pick the food you want and they will cook it for you. The price the meal by the weight of the food chosen: about $ 20/​lb. So you can choose anything that they have: whether with noodles, meat, fish, all assorted vegetables, garlic, ginger, variety of seasonings and sauces. They do serve you rice at your table: white jasmine or brown rice, which I was very happy that they had brown rice.
Their waiter was very kind and the cooked at the grill was kind as well. They were entertaining, spinning the spatula around, like the hibachi style entertainment. The good was very good, but the price can add up when its priced by its weight. The waiter suggested us to use the small bowl and it is no joke. USE THE SMALL BOWL when grabbing the ingredients for your meal.
I will come back if I crave for more rice and Asian cuisine, also for its perfect location in the middle of Whistler Village. It was a little pricey, but you do need to realize of its location: in the middle of a ski slope village and tourist ski spot! it is inevitable for pricey meals.
