I stayed at the Marquise with my boyfriend. We booked a little late, so it was the best deal we could find, but we ended up paying way more than we should have for the place. We originally were going to give it one star, but the location was good enough for it to warrant two stars. Each room is separately owned, so you don’t know what you’re getting when you book. We never plan to stay there again. The room itself was livable, but not at all impressive. The kitchen appliances were old, as well as all the furniture. The king bed in the bedroom was the hardest bed we’ve ever experienced, and it was less comfortable than most futons I’ve slept on. Our backs killed us if we slept for more than 7 – 8 hours(which we like to do, since we’re on vacation!). We tried the sofa bed instead, and it was even worse. It actually had springs poking up through the mattress that scratched us. Awful. The fitted sheet on the king bed was too small for it, so it slipped off every night while we were sleeping. The comforter was very cheap — in some places it had no filling, and in others it was crazy lumpy. There were two blankets available in the closet to use instead. Also, the bedskirt was torn with a hole about a foot long, so it just made it all look even worse. It was dirty when we checked in. We found dried food on the floor that hadn’t been vacuumed up before we got there. When we checked out all the dishes in the room, the top plate had dried eggs on it. We’re used to washing dishes in furnished places, but in this condo we washed everything that much harder. The shower curtain rod wasn’t pushed far enough out of the shower, so the curtain pretty much touches you the whole time you’re showering. On the positive side, the location was pretty good. It was right by a bus stop that takes only 5 – 10 minutes to get you to the base of Whistler and Whistler Village. Also, you can walk pretty quickly to the Blackcomb base and the Upper Village restaurants.

It was decent but the whole building could use a upgrade, the interior felt abandoned and you could hear the few neighbours around quite well when they were home. That being said someone brought their dog who barked the whole time they were gone. Not the hotels fault at all. The parkign lot and ski lockers are handy but parking is overpriced and the room was only okay. We were in unit 215 and would have been much happier in a unit with a balcony or view. They are all privately owned and managed by other companies so you really never know what you are getting when you book as some rooms are very nice and some run down and small(depends on the upkeep done by the owners) It was also overpriced and I feel we could have gotten a better place, location and room elsewhere for a better price. Oh well, live and learn!
