Adara Hotel

Stayed on the third floor in a loft room (319) from January 14 – 18 and had a great time. The staff was nice and friendly and allowed us to check in early which was greatly appreciated as we had been traveling since 2am. Three of us stayed in the room (two in the loft one in the queen couch) and the size was perfect. They have a boot dryer in the room which is awesome since it was snowing crazy while we were there and our shoes and boots for soaked. A lot of comments mention noise issues but I didn’t hear a thing on the third floor but I did hear guests complain that were on the second floor. the location is perfect. It’s a few minute walk to the main gondolas to ski and literally across the street from the Heli skiing but which was perfect for us. They provide coffee and cookies which is rad when you get back from skiing and just want a snack. The restaurant attached to the hotel is ok but the staff there was incredibly rude. We went to eat and my boyfriend was really tired so we just asked for the food to go and the lady said no it was too busy and they couldn’t so that… HUH? If I sat here you wouldn’t be too busy but because we are tired you are too busy? Anyways the hotel I highly recommend and you can’t beat it for the price! I suggest hiring a town car if your group is 3 or more and just walking everywhere. Thanks Adara we will be back next season

and this time we had a real goodie. We stayed in the Adara Whistler Village Boutique Hotel on a Sunday night stopping here for a day on our road trip from Calgray to Vancouver via Lilloet. We booked the two story one Bedroom Loft with one queen bed in the upstairs bedroom and queen size sofa bed in the living room. The loft was really big and it felt more like a flat than a hotel room
Inside we found a fridge, a microwave, coffee/​tea press with complimentary coffee/​tea, martini shaker, an in-​room safe, an iPod docking station, a Flat Screen TV with a Sony PlayStation 3 (how cool is this, we got the games for free at the desk). On of the coolest things I have ever seen in a hotel was the floating electric fireplace in the living room.
The hotel is located in the Whistler Village just a 5 minute walk away from lift access and some of the finest dining places I’ve ever seen.
The staff was helpful and nice all the time. Secure parking is available for 30 CAN$ and your car we be parked in the hotel garage. The hotal has a small spa area with an outdoor hottub which must be cool during winter, as we went out for diner in the evening we haven’t tested it. We felt welcome here and the hotel is really a cool place to stay!

I could give only one start to this hotel but I really liked the loft concept of each room. I can’t complaint with the cleanliness and lay out of the room. We enjoyed the hot tub while snowing but there where two major things that made us disappointed. The first day that we arrived the ice machine was not working, after couple of calls to the front desk they end up telling us to get ice from out side since it was snowing! So rude, I didn’t like that joke. Then the front desk told us upon our arrival that we could park in the city parking lot 4 that was free to park up to 72 hours overnight. We did, but when we got back we found a parking ticket saying that there was no overnight parking allowed around this time. The city states that everybody in Whistler knows that is a rule from October to the end of winter season no overnight parking. So Adara hotel should have all their employees giving the right information. As visitors we go by what the hotel tell us because we trust them. The hotel receptionist just told us sorry but we cannot do anything about it, you should of read the signs. Which we did and nothing said no Parking overnight. I definitely will not coming back to this hotel. We saw better costumer services in other hotels for cheaper price.

We stayed at Adara for only one night, in October 2015. The location is really great, just a few steps from the town centre. If you need to get to the grocery or liquor stores, a restaurant or bar, or for shopping, you’re just a few steps away.
We received phenomenal customer service, causing me to up the rating from 3 stars to 4. We were checked in by Barbara, who deserves huge credit for being friendly, welcoming and helpful. A definite asset to this property.
The lobby is regularly stocked with coffee and some amazing snack bars. The bars were very tasty, but the only time we tried the coffee it was of very poor quality, both only lukewarm at best, and very weak.
The hotel is not fancy, but we found it extremely clean and comfortable. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, and it was roomy, with a gas fireplace in the living room that was very cozy during the evening. Plenty of seating as well.
A couple of flaws, however, were a flat screen TV with the wrong aspect ratio, stretching the picture out of proportion. A throwback to a decade ago, that shouldn’t be happening in 2015.
The room has a walk-​in shower, but no tub. We didn’t realize that until we had checked in, and were disappointed in that.
Finally, the room came with a CD player, which didn’t work. It wasn’t a huge deal so we didn’t even call to have it replaced, but just a heads up.
To summarize, we would be happy to stay here again. We’re not ‘dying’ to go back, but our experience there was, overall, positive.

Nice rooms, good location BUT if you want peace and quiet try somewhere not so close to nightclubs. We found out the hard way. Most clubs don’t close till 2am making this hotel very noisy.

This is a very nice hotel. we stayed in the loft suite. erg spacious room with two floors. cozy seating area, tea and coffee available and a koelkast. het hotel is centrally located, close to everything.

The location is obviously delightful. It’s in Whistler for gosh sake! The hotel is clean and modern. They have bike storage and keep in mind it is a ski hotel so it will have the typical nicks and dings from skis and downhill bikes moving about — although the maintenance is kept up well at this hotel in Whistler.
The staff was exceptional. They are expedient and respectful — everyone we dealt with over our stay this last Wednesday and Thursday nights were wonderful.
And if you read my review of the Double Tree in Victoria, Adara is night and day (and nearly half the price) with increased professionalism and an emphasis on customer satisfaction. A++ to the folks at Adara!

Went to Whistler in February and was very pleased with this hotel. It is a boutique style hotel and has a very modern feel to it. Our room was very welcoming and the added touch of the electric fireplace made the room very cozy. The customer service at The Adara is exceptional. Each staff member that I interacted (via phone call or in person) with was very pleasant and friendly. They were also very helpful with directions and recommendations during our stay
Location is awesome! It is super close to The Village and to the slopes. Just a quick walk through the village and the ticket booth is right there. It was probably a 4 minute walk or so (all flat). From there, you can take the Whistler Village Gondola up to the mountain. After boarding, we walked back to room to shower and freshen up and walked back to The Village for dinner. The Adara is very conveniently located and priced more reasonably than the other hotels in the same general area. Definitely a good deal — we paid a total of $ 317 USD for two nights ($ 389 CAD). Such a steal for this hotel! This has earned our choice of stay for future Whistler trips!

The staff super friendly. Super excited after a long trip from Harrison Hot Springs got to stay in a great hotel with great staff and great amenities. I recommend anyone staying in this area to check out Cody and his evening staff. will be heading back to Whistler in a couple of weeks and we plan on staying right in the heart of Whistler. thank you so much for all your kind hospitality and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

I stayed here recently and had a great time! As all the reviewers say, there is a bar downstairs, but we were in the rear of the hotel and could not hear anything. The rooms were clean with funky fun décor, boot warmers, French press, microwave, and mini fridge. It was the perfect location in the middle of the village, with snacks at the lobby all times of day! The hot tub was small, but it didn’t really matter as no one was using it anyway. We would definitely stay here again.

But very noisy do to the bar or club downstairs. I would request the third floor if you decide to stay so you have a buffer floor between you. They do have ear plugs in the room though!
They have great French press coffee in the rooms that is great when coming in out of the cold. Wifi in the room is slow but the lobby is good
Hotel manager had a great Golden Retriever that greats you every time you enter the lobby.

Five stars all the way. Cody at the front desk is amazing… incredibly helpful, accomodating, and friendly. We were very pleasantly surprised with our room which turned out to be a small apartment – I would live here!
Super dog friendly. Right in the middle of all the action at Whistler Village. Clean. Modern. Great experience overall! And they bake fresh cookies in the afternoon!
STAY HERE. You will not be disappointed!

Loved staying at the Adara, especially for the price!
The location in the middle of the village is perfect, easy to find driving in and easy to get to the mountain. The resort is pretty low on frills which is what we are looking for as we like to spend most our time boarding so it is a good option for a place with less amenities which means you won’t be paying the extra for said amenities.
The staff was warm and welcoming. The hotel itself has a fun, trendy vibe. It was awesome to wake up to warm breakfast cookies!
I will say the hot tub area is a little lacking. There is only one placed out of the way with a max capacity of 8 that everyone in the hotel shares so needless to say you probably won’t get much time in it.
I would definitely go back and stay here. It is great value!

Great hotel in the middle of a village. From there you can walk anywhere. Everything was in a walking distance for us. Great staff and customer service. The only thing I didn’t like is when I booked the room online they told us that the parking included when we got to the hotel the front desk said they don’t do that and parking is $ 20/​night. We parked in a public parking for $ ¹⁰⁄₂₄ hours.
Other than that everything else was great

We had a lovely 4-​night stay at the Adara Hotel in June of 2013. The location of the hotel is absolutely perfect for proximity to the slopes, downtown, and getting in and out of Whistler. We initially chose the Adara because they were dog-​friendly, seemed to cater to mountain biking, and the price was very very reasonable.
We were unprepared for how fantastic the whole experience was though! The staff were very helpful and nice at every interaction, they really went above and beyond with all of our numerous requests. The room was well-​equipped and decorated, and very clean. We brought our dog with us (45 lb shepard mix) and had no problems checking in or taking him around with us. I was pleasantly surprised at how clean and quiet the room and hotel were for being dog-​friendly.
I saw some reviews about the staff here – We had nothing but great experiences with them. They were really helpful with locking up our bikes and even helped us with some routine maintenance as well. We were only there for 4 nights, but they made a point to learn our names (and our dog’s!)
The manager even offered us a day at the scandinavian spa in town, free of charge as we were checking out just as a ‘thank you’ for staying. How amazing is that?!?
The warm cookies and granola bars were just the icing on the cake for a wonderful stay. We decided to plan another trip to Whistler this summer, and wouldn’t even think about staying anywhere else. I saw some of the other reviews and just had to put my two cents in. This place is awesome!!!

Clean hotel with a lot of storage space for all your ski gear. They have a room to store your equipment because they don’t allow them in the rooms which is fine because it is constantly monitored. The biggest highlight to me is that the location of the hotel is very very close to the lifts and the bars. It’s directly above one of them but I forgot the name of it. So be aware it can get very loud outside if you are trying to sleep but I’m used to it. They also provide fresh baked Otis spunkmeyer cookies and breakfast bars in the lobby. They have an Otis oven are contantly refilling the plate! That was actually extremely clutch. I ate 4 cookies in 10 mins, soo good.

Worst customer service ever. Bad apathetic attitude by the 20-​some year old kids at the desk. Cleanliness in the room’s bathroom leaves A LOT to be desired.
Some stuff like the heating in the fake fireplace was inoperative (but noisy nonetheless!).
The worse though is the freakishly expensive valet parking. Not only it makes no sense at all because it is huge, wide and easy to park in, but it’s managed by the same idiots at the front desk. Result? I got the hatchback and rear bumper of the car I was driving all scratched. I guess they can’t manage a standard transmission as well as they think. When I complained to the manager he denied everything, insisted that the damage was there beforehand and told me that i was on my own and that my hints at «threatening» him with social media actions didn’t scare him.
That shows you how well the management at that place understands nowadays’ business world.
Screw them up! I’m not staying back there ever again, even if it’s the only room available in town.

Great location right next to lifts, very large room with view on the mountain and modern amenities. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The baked cookies every afternoon are a must. Very friendly personnel overall. A bit pricey on parking service. 20 USD per night. Noise at night from the club, but that is the con of staying inside the village. We didnt mind that much.

We just returned from a 4-​night stay at the Adara Hotel. The previous reviews about the noise at the Adara at night were spot on. We had a one-​bedroom loft on the 3^rd floor and could still hear and feel the bass thumps and noise from the bar/​club downstairs late into the night. I would hate to think what it would be like on the second floor!
Housekeeping was hit or miss. One day we left early in the morning and came back after a day on the slopes to find the room had not been cleaned. We also called the front desk at one point to ask for extra towels and the phone rang and rang with no response. The gentlemen that helped resolve an issue we had with our toilet one night was very nice though.
Somebody in our party returned to the hotel after some shopping and grabbed a couple cookies on her way up. A man in a suit (that we later found out was the general manager) glared at her suspiciously. He stared at her from the moment she walked in until the elevator closed without saying a word the entire time. She was extremely uncomfortable and was tempted to offer her room number and show her key to prove she was staying there.
The worst of it came when we had to check out. We came down to the lobby with our luggage in the morning and asked Kieran at the front desk for our car. He came back and said that our car was blocked in by another vehicle and that he didn’t have the keys to move it. Apparently the person working the night before didn’t follow proper procedure or something. So Kieran was frantically calling around trying to find a solution, but since he was the only one working, he had to deal with people that checked out, a guest that came down to request something and answer calls to the front desk. At one point he had to ignore the phone to deal with our problem (it continued to ring non-​stop). Meanwhile, time was ticking away and we were becoming worried that we would possibly miss our international flight out of YVR. It took close to an hour from the time we requested our car to the time Kieran pulled it up to the front of the hotel. We rushed to the airport to make our flight. We had planned to stop in Vancouver for a meal with friends prior to our flight, but we had to cancel those plans.
We called the hotel later (because Kieran explained that the manager does not get in until later in the day) and spoke to Sarah about the situation. She was unapologetic and had an excuse for everything — they knew where the key was the whole time and Kieran just wasn’t looking in the right place, etc., etc. Plus, she had the audacity to say, «you made it to your flight right?» As if that was justification for taking close to an hour to pull a car out of the hotel valet that we paid $ 20 a day for!
Overall, the lobby is nice and the rooms had great amenities. However, the great location of the hotel in the village is negated by the loud noise from the bar/​club downstairs. This hotel is also severely under-​staffed for being in the peak winter season. The service that we did receive (particularly with the management) was atrocious. This was our 3^rd time at Whistler but our first time at this particular hotel. We won’t be coming back. We had previously stayed at the Executive Inn at the village and the The Coast Blackcomb Suites and had great experiences at both.

First of all the hotel is literally in the middle of everything! So convenient i couldnt even believe i got that lucky especially for what I was paying.
The Hotel is neat and clean and everything looks brand new.

They valet the car for you ($ 20 per day which is a bit much)
The rooms are extremely clean with contemporary decoration
Legit cable and free wireless internet which worked perfectly
Free coffee and tea every morning and the valet your skis/​boards free
Bed was incredibly comfortable
Fake fireplace was a little pointless and chessy but who cares
Hot tub is such a plus!
All in all I was extremely satisfied especially when they upgraded us for free to a suite with a loft style bedroom!
