THISIS A RESPONSETOTHECOMPANY’S RIDICULOUSRESPONSETOMYPOST. Image Optometry slams Unilocal and tries to discredit me by saying that I’m obviously a competitor disguising myself as a customer! I was a full paying CUSTOMER, and this response only serves to illustrate how they deal with customers. They insult their customers! The writer tells me to «get a grip» because obviously the owner Dr. Boyco doesn’t attend the location. I NEVER said the owner attended the location, I did my business at the location and later contacted the owner. Two different things Mr. Staff D. Dr. Boyco said exactly what I said, furthermore he wrote what I consider to be a veiled legal threat and hid like a coward behind his in-house counsel. Maybe Dr. Boyco should take a moment from Canucks photos ops to actually«attend» some of his locations and deal with a customer or two, he might learn something. What goes around comes around, and it will here too.

I was incredibly impressed by the courteous and efficient staff. The optometrist was very thorough in his examination, he explained the process to me, answered my questions and was extremely knowledgeable. It was my first time purchasing prescription glasses and the optician walked me through the selection with ease. His expertise found the perfect pair of glasses for me. I felt welcomed and well taken care of the team at this office. I would definitely recommend my family and friends to Image Optometry. And I will certainly be utilizing their services for all my future vision needs.

This is to respond to Image Optometry’s nonsensical reply to my post. First sentence: ” HOWCANYOUREVIEWUSIFYOU’VENEVERUSEDUS??? « I did use you, hence my review. Second sentence: «Before we even took you in for your eye exam you exhibited a full spectrum of behavioral management issues, we knew that this could not end well and told you we didn’t want to even begin a relationship with you» Image did not take me in for an eye exam. My daughter went for the exam and everything was fine. I did not go near the store until three days after my daughter’s exam and only to pay for her glasses. What does«exhibited behavioral management issues» even mean? Accepting me as a new patient is a false statement. I was not the«patient». I just questioned why I could not pay the proper price and use my Groupon when paying for my daughter’s glasses. Image has this completely wrong and is accusing me of sour grapes because I called them out on their Groupon scam.

This was the worst experience I have ever had with an Optometrist. I have been wearing glasses for over 40 years. I purchased a pair of Accolade Freedom lenses in a Prada Frame including Transition and Progressive. When I picked up my glasses, I tried them on and Jeff did the fitting. He then sent me on my way and told me that I would get used to the fact that the peripheral vision was not in focus. Well it was more than not in focus and as I know wearing progressive lenses for many many years, I had never experienced what happened in the days to come. Jeff told me it would take a few days to get used to it but after feeling dizzy, nauseated, and headaches as well as not being able to see properly, I went back to talk to them about it. When I returned to the store, Jeff told me that I should just give it some more time. I left the store and gave it some more time over the next week and within a few days, did determine that the lenses were not going to work for my eyes. I asked Jeff to check the prescription against the lenses and he said they were fine. I then asked what we can do about it and he just told me that there are no refunds or exchanges. I spent over $ 700 at this store and he evidently wasn’t going to help me. My other glasses had broken and were taped so I really needed a new pair but couldn’t wear the ones I bought from Image Optometry. I called another Optometrist that I dealt with in Calgary, as I was planning a trip back there, and they kindly made an appointment. The good thing was«Leno Optical» in Calgary, exchanged the Prada frame for another one that I chose at their facility and they ordered the glasses for me. The advice they gave me was to approach Jeff again and ask him to talk to the provider of the lenses and see if they have any policies that could help me with a refund for the lenses. I called him and he told me he would get back to me but he never did. Today I went into the store in West Van Park Royal and spoke to Jeff one more time about this issue and he directed me to the sign behind his desk about no refunds or exchanges but I told him that the glasses were not good for my eyes. He told me that the Accolade Freedom lenses are the best quality and many people wear them including himself. He made me feel very bad and like I was being chastised and he was so unprofessional that I would highly NOT recommend this place. The Optometrist in Calgary told me that the lenses were not compatible with my eyes and the Nikon lenses that I have been wearing for years are much better and when I received my new glasses there was absolutely no adjustment time at all.

The receptionist and optometrist are wonderful. I enjoyed being able to try the glasses before I buy them and really see how they’ll look on me. The expert who’s recommended me the frames truly knows his craft, and he helped me pick glasses that will fit my face shape perfectly. Beyond the store, the the company provide excellent customer support and they really made me feel like a valued customer. I ended up recommending this shop to my brother because how awesome they were. I’m glad I didn’t end up ordering a pair online, because I found a frame that really fits me after trying a whole bunch.

If it wasn’t for the optometrist, I would have rated this place 2 stars. The guy who helped me was a bit snippy every now and then while I was shopping for the frames. Got snippy with my dad and that was the last straw. The optometrist was super sweet and brought this location up to 3 stars. Check another location before you hit up this one.
