University Junk Removal is a full scale junk removal and relocation service geared towards Waterloo’s residential homeowners, apartments, and commercial clients.

History

Established in 2010.

Both partners attended the Culver Academies in Indiana on hockey scholarships. After graduation, they went their separate ways, Boundikas staying in London as a «remote» trader on the New York and Nasdaq stock exchanges while Houben roved around Canada and the United States as a business consultant.

They hooked up after the economic crash in the fall of 2008 when the bottom fell out of stock market and Houben was tiring of spending most of his time on the road.

«Kevin and I had both run College Pro Painters franchises in London. This inspired us to start our own business four years later in the home services sector as we are both very customer service/​satisfaction oriented. We use the same principles for our customers service guidelines that CPP does,» Boundikas says.

So University Junk Removal was born, followed within two years by the other three «University» entities.

«Essentially we are still running a CPP franchise but instead of painting we are recycling junk.»
