Went to dinner with my family of four we all ordered food one ordered appetizers appetizer game but then my sisters mail came with the appetizer so she waited 10 minutes to really start eating so that everyone could eat together as a family
They served raw bloody chicken wings I sent them back right away and by the time everyone was half done still no food and then they were done and still no food, so told them to keep them

First time here on a Saturday evening and it was clear that they were under staffed. The line up for takeout was the slowest I’ve ever encountered. The girl behind the counter messed up our order, and I over heard that many of the other orders had problems as well. The wait for takeout was probably around 45min, and the lineup alone just to talk to someone was about 20min. By that time, lots of the food was starting to get cold from sitting in the kitchen. They serve standard Swiss Chalet food, so overall it tasted fine. Just wish they had better customer service.

I asked what was included in for sides with my meal and they included sweet potato fries as an option for takeout. So I get them with my meal and I get the bill. Lo and behold the sweet potato fries cost an extra $ 1.99 taking my meal from $ 14.99 to $ 16.99 before tax. So I go up and tell them after waiting another 30 minutes in line to get to the front again. Of course the right thing to do is refund my money, given that I ordered what they recommended.
That didn’t happen and that leaves a really bad taste in my mouth thinking about this restaurant. It will be the last time I come here.
This has literally been the worst restaurant experience I have had in KW.

Ordered the quarter chicken and shrimp. The chicken was as good as usual. The shrimp had a light, airy, tasteless flavour that spoke of it not being included in the delivery at all. How do you jack that up? The big void in the container not suggest something was amiss (ing)? Called and after several minutes on hold they’ve said they’ll send a «free» shrimp next time. And an app. Wheeeeeeee!

Always so good for so little! Truer words have never been spoken. I’ve been coming to this specific Swiss Chalet for dinner for as long as I can remember (at least 20+ years) with grandparents and parents, and we never leave disappointed. This one in particular is very well run!

Everybody knows what Swiss Chalet is like so I won’t bother talking about the food, Its consistently above average. However, recently I tried to order online and had a terrible experience.
At first i called and had to sit through 5 minutes of pre-​recorded message before i was worthy of speaking with a human. At which point I had a flier with a «2 can Dine for 14.99» coupon of which said nothing about its validity for a delivery order. I was however denied the use of the coupon. The gentleman on the phone was from a call center in India even though i called the Waterloo number from the flier. After attempting to place my order I was transferred to a different gentleman. Who was presumably from the Waterloo restaurant. He proceeded to ask the same questions i had already answered. It was at this point i hung up and ordered from a different restaurant.

Huh? Only two reviews for the busiest Swiss Chalet location here in Waterloo? I remember my economics professor talking about this place and he asked why it was so busy compared to other locations that were not as busy. This location has been a «landmark» on Weber St. They have undergone renovations and have expanded their menu. Always good, take out or eat in.
PS. Does anyone remember a few years ago when they offered AYCE fries?

Swiss Chalet, since 1954, is famous for its tasty chicken and mouth-​watering ribs. With locations across the country and all around Kitchener-​Waterloo, it continues to be a «go-​to» dining destination for our family.
This is the local Swiss Chalet location near where I work. We generally patronize this location for work lunches, and we consistently get fast, efficient service and delicious food, no matter how large our group.
The latest renovations to this location are now complete and the dining room is now better than ever… If you haven’t visited in a while, you should come and take a look, it’s better than ever!
