Started by Ross Pritchard by making frames for his art students it quckly became a full time business.

Meet the Business Owner

Ross Pritchard P.

Business Owner

Artist Ross Pritchard was born and raised in Kitchener, Ontario.

Inspired by his brother’s pencil Drawings when he was young, and encouraged by an art teacher in public school, it wasn’t until he was in his twenties before he began oil painting.

Various local artists including Mrs. Massy of Bridgeport, and Doon School of Fine Arts, Provided his first art lessons.

In the early 1970’s Ross Pritchard began teaching oil painting to aspiring artists of all ages from his home, where in 1978 he also started the business of PDR Picture Frames and Gallery. The business quickly became full time and in 1979 he moved his shop into Downtown Kitchener.

Five Years later he relocated to Uptown Waterloo, where he operates his business today. He continues to paint in mediums of oil and watercolour.

Art has captivated Ross’s interest and has been a large part of his life. He feels that through the eyes of an artist we can see deeper into our surroundings and enjoy a continuous learning experience.
