K-Zone Karaoke & Bar

This karaōke bar COULD be great but is not. First, it is obvious that they are not very welcoming to many ethnic groups, meaning if you are not japanese or chinese, you shouldnt be there… you feel the discrimination. The place is not fancy at all an still they want to charge cover… for what??, very expensive drinks and food, the food is rather «poor», the service is really bad, most of the servers cant even smile or say anything nice, the place needs a good cleaning ASAP, bathrooms are very smelly and dirty… i could keep going on all the wrong things… the only GOOD thing is the karaōke book is really good, alot to choose from… Waterloo needs a good karaōke bar urgently!!!

Worst. Place. Ever.
First of all, they only take cash for some odd reason (hello its 2015!). They initially said $ 12 a person and so we went to an atm and got out cash, BUT then when we went back they said its not just $ 12, there are other charges on top of that. So I asked like what, to which they responded tax and then a service fee… So we sat in this really small room, and the worst part… NO VENTILATION AT ALL. We would have to leave our door open to get some sort of breeze. The lady came in and «taught» us how to use the remote, which none of us understood because she had a very thick accent. So once we figured it out we found that most of the songs didn’t have any subtitles. which is odd considering its a KAROKE PLACE! We waited for the ladies to come ask us for drinks (which were included in the price) but after a half an hour of no one, we all went out there to find them sitting on their phones in the front lobby. We ordered our drinks, from which only half our order was given. (I guess this is why there is a mandatory service fee considering no one would tip them) Then the worst thing. the bathrooms, if you can call them that. One didn’t lock, but had toilet paper, and the other barely locked and had no toilet paper, and didn’t flush. The floor was moist and slippery, very disgusting, and definitely not sanitary. I would NEVER go here again.

This place should be closed by the health board. very dirty, washroom stall doors don’t close toilets flooded on the floor about a inch deep of water and exposed wires on the bathroom wall. Don’t get me started on the service. We were told at booking it would be 20 an hr for the room, they charged us 80.00 for 2 hrs. Plus they include tips on your bill??? For what ?? the service was atrocious. If you go make sure the equipment works. Ours only worked half the time. Would never recommend this place to anyone and strongly believe it should be closed by health regulations!!!
