Im Not a review kinda person but I just needed too! The owners are to me some of the sweetest people I have met in life! They are wonderful! And the coffee is great too!

I don’t know about this location, but this couple were the owners of the shop in Kitsilano on West Broadway for a couple of decades. It was the place to go for great coffee every time. They roast the coffee in the shop and sift it and make the most amazing cappuccinos with grated chocolate on the top.
Their beans are excellent. They also get a Belgium hazelnut chocolate that you can purchase by weight, you won’t believe how good it is. I would imagine that this location is just as good.
You couldn’t get better coffee and a better business to support than this.
I can remember the smell of the roasting beans, all the way along the street…

Yoka’s is a Vancouver transplant so you can search for the previous reviews there. I was so happy to find them when we were in Victoria that we bought a few pounds of their incredible House Espresso. Still the same 2 people and their web site says it all «We have always had the simple objective of providing fresh-​roasted, premium coffee at affordable prices.» Roasted on the premises, I can’t imagine fresher coffee unless you do it yourself. No wi-​fi, no big lounge chairs, and I think cash only but still the best coffee ever.
Vancouver’s loss is Victoria’s gain.
