Description

Specialties

The Tuscan Kitchen has hundreds of pieces of majolica in dozens of patterns, many of them unique. There are bright, bold patterns typical of the Italian town of Deruta, and other charmingly sophisticated ceramics from Tuscany, Umbria, and Puglia.

Beyond ceramics, The Tuscan Kitchen carries elegant everyday tableware, linens and a large selection of culinary tools and gourmet foods from around the Mediterranean. You’ll find flatware from Bugatti and Mepra, table linens from Linen Way, Couleur Nature and Mierco, and professional culinary knives by Shun & Messermeister. Also, from Germany, the Rösle «open kitchen» system of stainless steel rails and tools, at home in great kitchens everywhere.

History

In 1997 Gerri and Mauro Schelini originally opened The Tuscan Kitchen in Cordova Bay, a beautiful residential neighbourhood in Victoria, British Columbia. In 1999 they expanded to their current downtown location at 653 View Street, outside The Bay Centre.
