If your looking for catering they do Amazing wedding Catering. 5 star Service. The food was really incredible. Local and fresh West Coast cuisine We had about 130 Guests at the Sea Cider Venue and they were a great team . They worked with us to make a very special menu and the guests could not stop talking about the food. Really we can not recommend them enough ! I can say The price was very good and no hidden costs when the bill came. Everything was organic, local and we even had fresh wild fish caught that morning. Really go for these guys !

Small space with limited menu but food was awesome. Had the ham, Brie and Dijon sandwich. Loved that each table had a different cookbook on it.

Horrible. I felt horrible leaving this place, I felt ripped off and frustrated. Absolutely horrible. I cant think of a better word to sum up everything that is wrong with this place; service, food, owners and price(way too much for what you get or dont get). Better off going to cooking classes at the Atrium!!!

with out a doubt I love this little piece of heaven here in Victoria. They make a wicked cup a Joe and there snacks give e a little taste of home(Vancouver). It almost feels like I am waking into a little version of a place in the city called Café Medina !

A must stop if you’re spending any time in Victoria. Cook up a meal with Chef Dan Hayes. He’ll listen to what you like and dislike and come up with something great. We had a delicious risotto, great wine and a fun time.

I really really wanted to like them much more than my first experience permitted. I’d passed by so many times that I finally had to get lunch here today. I’d spotted appealing sounding menu items before, but they were always sold out by the time I got my break. I love the concept here, the lunch and learns and classes they offer. The presentation is great and everything looks fantastic. The cooking and dining areas are great, open, clean, functional, inviting. I ordered the chefs plate which consisted of ribs, buttermilk slaw and baked beans and then a moroccan chicken sandwich with chutney(I was awfully hungry and sadly, I still am). When I order a chef’s plate, I expect some great flavours. The ribs were ok, not a lot of meat, flavour was middle of the road for me. The buttermilk slaw was seriously lacking in flavour or seasoning, I get that they’re a bit creamier version of coleslaw with even a hint of sour from the buttermilk, but all I could taste was… not much, really quite bland. The baked beans were ok, but nothing I’d order again. When I hear«moroccan chicken sandwich with chutney», I pretty much expect to get punched in the face with flavour, or at least a light slap. Moroccan seasonings are rich and bold and chutney… well come on, it’s chutney. My favourite part of the sandwich was the only part not made in house… the bread, it was very nice. The sandwich was very bland and cold and the main texture was jelly. It was underseasoned, underspiced and in 4 bites I never once tasted chutney(I could see some tiny morsels of it, but never tasted it). I started to wonder if maybe my palate was just off today so I had a coworker try a bite, he took 3 chews and spit it out and said it felt like a flavourless jellyfish. When I opened the sandwich to season it, my six dollar, four inch sandwich only had chicken covering at most 2⁄3 of it. I truly tried to finish it, even after seasoning it, and I just couldn’t do it. I will definitely give The London Chef another chance on another occasion and I truly hope to be able to update and upgrade my review then, but for now I have to say that I am just seriously disappointed.

The London Chef has a won a big ol’ place in my heart. Well, stomach really. This recently opened unique new concept in the Victoria food scene is the work of Dan and Micayla, who have a very romantic story. The London Chef is part cooking school, part café, part catering, part dining room, and all heart. My first visit was prompted from a tweet proclaiming the best breakfast sandwich ever. Off I marched with a friend in tow. The café front has a selection of baked treats, muffins, croissants, and quiche nestled in between fresh salads and sandwiches for lunch. The breakfast sandwich was warm ciabatta topped with aioli, three layers of slice meat, cheese, two eggs, and homemade tomato sauce that doesn’t deserve a lowly name such as ketchup. $ 10 with a cup of Discovery Coffee, this creation changes weekly and I think is only available on Saturdays. They’re using local seasonal ingredients and have a great selection of ready made items to go, including soups, stocks, dips and specialty items from other local food producers. Peek beyond the café front and you’ll find a beautiful open kitchen filled with stainless ranges for their cooking classes. They do lunch and learns for $ 25 where you can stop in for lunch, learn to prepare what it is you’ll be eating, skip the work, and enjoy the lunch. I haven’t done this yet, but I’m really looking forward to taking some of their classes. Beyond the kitchen is a communal dining table made from a single piece of reclaimed Fir that’s over five hundred years old. It’s stunning. Friendly conversation, while encouraged through the communal seating arrangement, is hard to do until the food is gone. Talking is too distracting and the food is too good. Excited to watch them grow, this gem is sure to be around for a long time to come.
