The Finishing Store specializes in Laminate, Cork, Hardwood Flooring. We offer installation services, as well as sand and refinishing of existing floors.

We sell a full line of mouldings and can manufacture custom profiles in any species of wood that is available to source.

We supply and install mantels, and interior closet systems.

We offer interior doors and also installation services.

History

Established in 1986.

Our Store started in the mid 80’s primarily selling interior mouldings and finishing products. In the 90′ we added hardwood flooring and in the 20’s we added doors.

We expanded to also serve Nanaimo in 1999.

We manufacture products right here in Victoria and import products from Europe and Asia. Our first choice is to promote local and Canadian made products.

Our customer base is made up of contractors, designers, architects and regular retail clients.

Business Owner

My wife and I have been in the retail business since 1970.

We move to Nanaimo in 1992 and purchased this business in Victoria in 1996. Over the years, we have been involved with many organizations and have supported the Arts, Sports, Salvation Army, Mustard seed to name a few.
