Excellent food. high prices, HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE, I have been a patron here for 7 or 8 yrs and never had an issue with the food, the prices keep climbing, and the owner or manager i witnessed on my way into lunch the other day was way over the top rude and loud. He had towed a customers car by mistake and would not admit it, even though it was very plain everybody knew it! He refused to admit his mistake and was berating and belittling a customer who I had seen eating. about people using his parking lot who were not customers and would not admit he made a mistake and continued to blame the customer and left her with the towing bill and no car! until romeos deals with this psycho boss I would reccomend staying far away from this place!

They tow your car because apparently they’re Too Good for your business and then make sure you’re left with the bill. The food is overpriced and kind of mediocre. If I’m paying that much it should be better than something I made at home. The baked spaghetti was decent but I will no longer return to this location because of the car towing issue. Not worth it.

Best fries in Victoria. Not joking. We order their pizza as well, amazing. Service is great and food is awesome! Surprised this place doesn’t have better reviews… Been to a lot of places and been spoiled by living in Vancouver. Highly recommend.

Very good selection of food and a good beer selection on tap. Love the early afternoon low priced appetizers on Sunday afternoon during NFL football season.

Romeo’s was a last minute decision to just get some food delivered for dinner rather than walking back out to get something. Had been driving and hiking around for the most of the day, so I was kind of over leaving the hotel room for anything else. Romeo’s came up as one of the more popular pizza places in downtown Victoria other than the Boston Pizza chain. There are two different menus to order from here as they have a dine in menu and take away one. You can order from either one, but they have some good deals on the take out one. The person I called on the phone was perhaps one of the better people to take my delivery order over the phone. They were very clear, concise and repeated my order back to me to make sure it was correct. They quoted my time to be at about 45 minutes to an hour, the guy did show up in the time window. When the pizza finally got to my room, it was still very warm and looked like it wasn’t sitting around for long. The only bummer is the driver didn’t bring any forks or plates for me, I guess it’s my fault for not asking though. The Hot Mexican specialty pizza cost me the expensive amount of 24 bucks for a regular sized one. The regular sized pizzas here are ten inches, which for one person is more than an enough in my opinion. The Hot Mexican pizza( ) was topped with chicken, onions, green peppers, tomatoes, jalapeño peppers, cheddar and tomato sauce. It comes originally with ground beef, but that’s some weird Texas thing that I don’t associate with Mexican food and ground beef sounds horrible on a pizza. Luckily for me they allow two substitutions per pizza order at no charge. The pizza crust was seasoned very well, cooked perfect all the way to the center and the ingredients on top were melted well into the cheese. They didn’t go too cheap on the toppings either, a very decent amount on top. Overall a pretty decent pizza, not the best but it definitely fulfilled my craving for a pizza. I also ordered some of their cheese bread( ) on the side, which tasted kind of meh. While it was very cheesey, they could have used more spices on it to make it taste a bit less bland. Their side salad( ) was okay, a mix of lettuce, carrots, cucumber, and peppers. The salad dressing went great with the veggies. Romeo’s is a bit on the pricier side for their food, but I really can’t complain too much, it was a decent pizza. I don’t really order pizza too much, but on trips I love to at least try local pizza place.

This place is BAD! I parked in the lot well waiting for my wife to show up. The waitress said I didn’t need a parking ticket as I was Inq about after reading sign in parking lot. When I went outside to meet her, my car had been towed. I asked the waitress what happened. She got the owners son, A very arrogant younger guy. He told me to stop lying that I was going to eat in here. I said, check the reservation book I just had the waitress mark my name in and explained I was waiting for my wife in the lobby. When the owner finally came down, I saw why the son was so rude. Complete arrogant ass. Did nothing, didn’t even say sorry. Also the most expensive pizza ever. Go anywhere else but.

Well my previous review was much higher and I had much more positive things to say. Since then I’ve been back under a handful of times and each time getting progressively worse. Yam fries have been overcooked last 3 times to the point they just taste burnt, not even a hint of yam… the«gyro» wrap was a dry lump of pita with a hint of meat(least recommended item) and the pizzas have been overcooked to near indistinguishable toppings. I live close so I was willing to try as the first couple times the food had been decent. I don’t know if maybe I keep getting the same cook, but whoever it is needs to keep better track of their cooking. I don’t think I will be back again. However, the service has always been great and the food hot… but terrible. Wouldn’t recommend going unless they do a serious overhaul in the kitchen.

Good food, stupid expensive. We ordered cheese bread since the lasagna did not state that it came with bread, the waitress knew this, also knew bread DID come with it, she just did not speak up. The waitress is supposed to be my advocate, not run up the bill.

On our recent trip to Victoria, we were trying to find a restaurant we’d read about on Unilocal, but somehow got completely messed up and decided to check out Romeo’s instead. I’d had pizza a lot in the past few days so I didn’t want to order it again, but I wish I had tried it! Instead, we shared a plate of nachos which were great; I liked how they came with salsa, sour cream, and guacamole in little tortilla bowls — super cute. For my actual meal I ordered the Mediterranean salad. It was over $ 14 which seemed kind of steep, but it was a pretty large salad. I added grilled chicken instead of fish, and it was full of olives, chickpeas, and other delightful things. It was pretty good. I ate a few of my fiancé’s fries, too, because of course I did. All in all, I’m glad we stumbled upon this place; yeah, visiting a chain restaurant in a new place is probably lame, but no complaits here!

Biased! I have literally lived all over the world, but was raised on Romeo’s and to me it is still the quintessential«pizza’ that can’t be beat The Romeo’s Special remains my pizza to try to beat in every single respect– the crust, sauce, cheese and toppings provide the ultimate in pizza nirvana — I don’t care what anyone else says!(The Spinach Special made a dash for my heart and is still vying to up it’s status but the special just can’t be beat!) I moved to Chicago where Chicago style deep dish pizza left me MORE than cold. Can’t hold a candle to Romeo’s — sorry! Chicago style is all sauce and cheese — yuck! Romeo’s is all about the crust & sauce, with a restrained — dare I say«Canadian» hand on the cheese and toppings? Go ahead and shoot me if I’m wrong, but know that every single time I’m home in Victoria I literally engineer a situation in which a Romeo’s Special is the«only» solution, and every single time they deliver the perfection I crave(promptly & with a smile, natch!). I fear it one day may come to an end, but until that day please know this fan is with you, for you, in every way!

So my partner and I strolled into this place after walking around downtown and craving Italian food. Subsequently, we both ordered burgers and beer. It was actually really great. Our waitress is particularly why I was a fan of Romeo’s. I don’t remember her name, but she is a lovely blonde girl who is a native Victorian and wants to move to India to study Yoga. I love that whole international Canadian concept. I’m such a sucker for it. Our waitress was affable and great at making recommendations for things to do while being extremely friendly and fast. Our service here was very fast. I loved it. I’m happy to have gone to Romeo’s. If you’re looking for decent Italian food at an okay price, this is it! OHANDFREEWIFI.

Great location, apparently this is their newest location in downtown Victoria. I heard someone referring to this location as the ‘grown up’ location. I’ve never been to a Romeo’s but it’s good. I had a entrée salad and it was everything I needed. Service was good and I would go back.
