One Tree Paddles is a eco-​tour operator and paddle sport manufacturer based in Tahsis, British Columbia. Our focus has been to influence the kayaking industry into becoming more environmentally conscious by providing sustainable products and services. One Tree is all that was ever necessary to explore the wonders of nature through the sport of ocean kayaking. As such, it is our mission to reclaim the romantic image of kayaking as a natural and eco-​friendly recreation.

Being graduate of an Applied Degree in Ecotourism & Outdoor Leadership, our founder had hopes to create sustainable year-​round employment for the seasoned veterans of British Columbia’s Ocean Kayak Guiding Community, One Tree Paddles attempted to diversify the job role by creating manufacturing opportunities.

Rather then purchasing products and material to be used for kayaking operations, he sought to make his own. Impressed with the quality, overwhelmed with opportunity and surrounded by resource, the concept of One Tree Paddles was born.
