Great coffee! Nice roasted taste. The baristas are very cheerful and friendly. They also answer all touristy questions with great attitude. Prices are pretty reasonable as well… I ordered the Americano for 2.75 CAD. Plus they have free wifi!

We came here on our way out of town and were in need of some coffee, so we left our hotel and randomly stopped at the first coffee place we could find. This happened to be it. We each had 2 regular lattes, and they cost a total of 11 dollars. Yes, 11 dollars for two coffees. So, after paying an arm and a leg for coffee, I figured this must be decent coffee. No. It tasted like burned coffee and there wasn’t any milky flavor at all. I’m not sure how this place is still in business since I’m assuming that most people that frequent here are from Washington. people who know good coffee. Skip this place.

The girl behind the counter greeted me with a big smile and was not texting while waiting. Quick service and reasonable prices for all the «goodies» in their showcase. Most importantly, the coffee was good, hearty, not bitter or burnt flavor. It was a nice area to sit for a while after touring the island for the day.

Eh… I’ve been here every summer for the past four years and always found it a better substitute for our superb Seattle espresso than any other place in downtown Victoria. This last time it didn’t taste so great but the staff was nice and put some syrup in it for me.

My chai was pretty bland… My wife’s mocha was a bit chalky. Nice atmosphere though! I’d go to the Starbucks across the street for a well made drink, though.

Happened to walk into MIrage coffee yesterday as I was wondering around downtown and feel like a latte. I waited for a bit until the cashier was able to take my order. While I was waiting for my latte, I noticed the barista was alrady over heating the milk. As expected, when I got my latte, there was way too much foam on top that I was wondering whether she gave me a latte or a cappuccino. I was very disappointed. Why would they put out posters showing latte arts when they are going to do any? Besides all that, the latte was way too hot that I literally burnt my tongue. After a few more blocks, I actually threw my latte away and decided to get a new one from a different coffee shop.

While walking around Victoria, I took a mid morning coffee break at Mirage Coffee. This coffee house was crazy busy with every seat inside occupied. The interior has a very classic VIctorian era feel. There was a long line, which was actually moving pretty quickly. They had a dedicated cashier solely taking orders and the rest of the staff making drinks for pickup at the end of the counter including regular drip coffee orders. I found a seat outside in front on the sidewalk. The small coffee I had was decent, had a smooth flavour and not too strong.
