History
Established in 2009.
Lido Waterfront Bar & Bistro was built utilizing what used to be an outdoor overhang space beneath the Victoria Regent hotel adjacent to what would also become the massive «Lido Deck». After 6 months of filling in the space with 12 foot glass panels and building everything from what was only a cement shell (yes no plumbing or electrical — just 2 foot thick cement at sea level), May 2009 saw the first pint cross the bar by owner Steve Jackson and Tyler Hadfield and first entrée be prepared in the kitchen by Brad Holmes who would later start Ulla restaurant.

Started the hospitality industry bartending at spinnakers in ’91. Graduated from UVic with a BComm in ’94. Started Golf Central in ’95 with business partner Tyler Hadfield and operating to present day along with Lido Bar & Bistro, built in 2009.
