Good service. We had 2 different soups. The broths weren’t very flavorful. Meats and garnish were fresh.

First time in Victoria on vacation and we couldn’t have been more pleased with the food that was delivered from this restaurant. We ordered the Tofu Vermicelli Bowls and Vegetarian Fried Rice. These vegetarian options were delicious, fresh, and not overly sauced. We even tried the Avocado Smoothie because we LOVE avocado and it was surprisingly refreshing.

I came here as a tourist for lunch, and was blown away by the delicious hot and sour soup. Extremely flavourful and well done, they seemed to have a whole menu filled with delicious options. The waitress was very nice and offered good advice about sightseeing in the city.

While I will agree with other reviewers about the décor, I went to the restaurant to soothe my hunger. And that’s exactly what happened. Went to the restaurant for lunch with my wife and two kids. Everything we ordered tasted great: salad rolls, chicken/port skewers with vermicelli, phở, ginger chicken. I’d go back.

All the Vietnamese dishes you expect, done well. It’s not exceptional in any way, but comfortable and friendly and not too expensive.

Good portion dishes. Spicy noodle(bun bo hue) was not authentic and just ok but curry was very good. Sure, we can visit again.

My group of 7 enjoyed a wonderful meal here and we’re happy that there was something for everyone! As a vegetarian I sometimes find it difficult to find«true» vegetarian dishes at Vietnamese places. Here they had lots of vegetarian options. We had the green papaya salad, tofu vermicelli bowl, and veggie salad rolls all fresh and very flavourful. Among our party there was also fried rice, and rice bowls which were also well liked! All of our plates were empty at the end of dinner and we are already planning to come back!

We visited Le Petit Saigon in June of 2014 and was super disappointed. One eggroll costs $ 4? Unheard of. For the same price, you get 3 or 4 in Seattle(our hometown). According the menu, the eggroll has pork in it, but it only had bean noodles and cabbage. When we inquired about it, the waitress said«I am sorry to hear that; do you want to order another one»? Huh?! Entrees tasted ok, but portion was small and the vegetables were not fresh.

We ate here based on the solid reviews. First I will say that if you’re looking for great décor, you will be disappointed. The food itself was fine. Absolutely nothing wrong with it, but it also didn’t rock our world. I’ve had better Vietnamese food in other cities. Decent value though as far as price is concerned. If you’re looking for some different types of Vietnamese cuisine, they did have a number of dishes on the menu that looked unique and interesting. I would give it 3.5 stars if I could, but since I can’t I rounded up to 4.

Great fresh food. Prawn and beef appetiser was good and worth a try. Papaya salad was also a fave. Spring rolls excellent. Try the garlic pork spring roll. Waitress was a delight. Good value for money.

Good bun(vermicelli) dishes and delicious Vietnamese coffee. What it might lack in ambience it makes up for in friendly service and good food.

First time eating Vietnamese food. I had the chicken noodle dish. I thought it was bland, I suppose I expected more because I love Thai food. The Phở was good, my hubby had the spicy beef. Unfortunately, the server we had was new and didn’t exactly know or recommend something for us to try. The nuc-mam wasn’t great. I realize it was a fishy sauce as our server said, but there wasn’t much taste to it. I did add Hoisin sauce to my meal to give it a little taste. The chicken in my dish was really fatty, and I don’t like eating animal fat like that. But the deep fried banana for dessert was great! I thought that was the highlight of the meal. So my rating is mediocre only because I’ve not eaten Vietnamese food before, so I haven’t anything to compare it to. But it’s not my favorite and I doubt it if I would go to this place again. We did go here because the Unilocal rating was high. Just not for me. Oh, the décor was basic but going to the bathroom downstairs was sketchy and a little scary. Almost like playing a video game where at the end of the hall there is a hanging blinking light and you expect some monster come out and attack you!

Can’t vouch for the food yet as was here for a business trip, but in a great touristy location, also right in DT. Nice, cozy atmosphere, even a bit of a high-end feel without the pretentious pricing. Courteous friendly staff when I called. Offers catering too.

Stopped in here due to their sign out on Government Street, never expecting much, however all of my senses were pleasantly surprised. Our Family of 4 shared a Lamb Curry, a Spring Roll that came with noodles and two bowls of soup which all were packed with amazing flavours that truly brought me back to my 6 weeks of travels in Vietnam. Truly authentic & amazing. I will definitely be back!

Outstanding lemongrass chicken rice bowl and outstanding papaya salad. Beef and noodles was fine, but was outshined by the other dishes. Great Vietnamese iced coffee as well. Friendly. Quiet dining room secluded from the street.

Le Petit Saigon has very good Vietnamese food in a tucked away location. They also provide good kid friendly service. Excellentbun as well as rice vermicelli chicken noodle soup, which was not on the menu but they were able to make it especially for my DH.
