Perused this art gallery with my companion. It’s located inside the Fairmont Empress, next to high tea. They sell sculptures made by Canadian artists. They are made in a variety of mediums from jade to glass to wood and are in all different styles.
We were warmly greeted by a saleswoman working who talked with us for about 30 minutes, telling us about different pieces we were interested in.
I didn’t make a purchase as the prices were too steep for me, but I really enjoyed looking at various pieces, especially the jade animal sculptures.

Terrible TERRIBLE socials kills. One would think that the staff working in an «art» gallery located within the Empress hotel would be warm, approachable and friendly. It’s sadly not the case. The curator for some obscure reasons would not do the «hand thing» as he says (shake hands). The other bearded gentleman, when I tried to do small talk was not able to make eye contact and was as cold as an iceberg. I HAVE NO IDEA what is going on there but I don’t have good vibes…
