The staff was very friendly, the food was reasonably priced, and the wifi worked really well. I ordered the veggie breakfast burrito and it was reasonably priced($ 5) and very good.

Such an amazing location and physical establishment, the breakfast wraps are quite good for the $ 5 price tag, free wifi and cool ambience once you get past the rotten service — oh the service, is really bad… consistently — miserable, snarky, grumps, its actually quite remarkable how consistent — I would totally hang out there more often, I just don’t like having to brace myself for bad service

It is a lovely spot with great light however I agree with the reviews the staff is a disappointment. Customer service is huge and if I business wants to thrive it is a must. I understand it is not realistic to always be joyful but you can at least be pleasant. There regular and chai lattes are great.

Contrary to the bad reviews, I really like cornerstone café! The staff were exceptionally friendly, the food was beautifully made and delicious(especially the gluten free morning glory muffin) and the atmosphere is great! Only complaint is that it’s a little expensive, $ 7 for a mocha and a muffin but beautiful and delicious ones at that so they’re worth the money!

Cornerstone is overpriced, firstly, for the quality of food that has disappointed me time and time again. I’ve repeatedly thrown out a five dollar drink, half full, due to how inedible it was. When I complained about the powdery chunks in a drink, another was suggested, no refund or apologies, and it was equally disgusting. I find the service to be very poor, constant attitude from the staff who I have never seen take responsibility for the inconsiderate amount of time they take to serve customers.(Once waited over twenty minutes for a pre made panini) Overall, the only benefit I’ve found about cornerstone is it’s convenient location, but that really isn’t saying much. Would not suggest to anyone, ever.

This place is fantatsic! The previous reviews about poor service and attitude problems made me nervous about coming here but it was on my way to work and I figured I would try it again! Its great — homely, welcoming and the muffins are dellliicccciioouuussss! Prices are regular — 4.95 for breakfast wraps and 5.95 for Paninis! I would highly recommend this place. I feel the previous reviews may be out dated.

Wow, I seriously wonder if the staff have been hot boxing the bathroom with a giant dirty bong. The service is CRAP. Seriously bad. I don’t care how laid back the vibe is, I shouldn’t have to ask TWICE and wait close to half an hour for something that takes at most five minutes to prepare and then have the forgetful bong smoker ‘staff member’ not really care that the order was forgotten. Blown away.

As it turns out I did go back… I asked for a latte and if they could put the sweetener in the bottom of the cup. See, I don’t like stirring the stuff through the foam, I know I know, I’m a lazy asshole. The barista didn’t like that. «Why am I doing this?» she muttered to the girl a the till«Tell him he can’t do that next time, does he think this is Tim Hortons.» Boy did she show me… Over steamed milk and a sneer. I explained that she wouldn’t have to worry about tearing open a sweetener packet again, I wouldn’t be back… Again, I wouldn’t want to out her out to much.

I’ve visited Cornerstone a few more times over the past year and unfortunately I won’t be going back any time soon. I have to echo what others have wrote about how slow and unfriendly the staff are. No eye contact, no pleasantries. I’m not sure what the deal is. My friend and I made a game out of trying to coax a «Have a nice day» or «You’re welcome» from whoever is serving us, but the game stopped being fun when it turned into a real struggle. Sorry Cornerstone, there are other locations near by to get coffee and pastries, and that’s where I’ll be going from now on.

Not too impressed with the Cornerstone which is sad because it is right down the street and would be very convenient. The coffee is average but it’s the staff who take the cake for worst aspect. The service really couldn’t be any slower. Even when there is no line up you can still expect an unreasonable wait time and the staff make no apologies. The one saving grace is that they strongly support local musicians and talent. There seems to an open mic night of some sort there almost every night.

Awesome coffee shop. Has all the classical qualities of the coffee shop experience. The art, good service, youth, funky environment, community, good food and great coffee… reasonable prices and wifi.

Before I get to how great Cornerstone is let me first complain about the parking. What parking? Just a warning it’s tough finding a spot in this neighborhood. Now the great. Cornerstone is the coolest little coffee shop in a very chic hood. Love this place. It’s like Sesame Street for grown-ups.
