Just witnessed the owner out bidding all the normal folk at lunds… When two Similar lots were up I was ready to bid on the second. Auctioneer mistakenly offered both to her. I politely asked her if I could purchase the second as I was waiting to bid on it… Nope… Really? Who needs two dough boxes?
My advice is save your money!!! Go to lunds and with luck you will outbid the owner!!! Still less expensive than buying at Charmaine’s:)

Charmaine’s is fantastic, and always seem to have great, and ever changing, selection of furniture.
The staff was incredibly friendly, and even more helpful. I purchased a couple of teak drawers from them recently and the girl working was more then eager to help me load them into the rather awkward back seat of my Dad’s car. Oh, and before you say «Hey Steve, why didn’t your Dad help load them into the back seat?», he’s has a heart condition so lifting heavy furniture into awkward Swedish vehicles isn’t an option.
The price was surprising affordable for the set of drawers, and looking around the other Mid-Century furniture they had was cheaper then a few other stores in town.

If you crave the unique and wouldn’t buy your kitchen table at The Brick if your life depended on it, you’ll like Charmaine’s. They have a wide variety of antique and quality used furniture to suit all tastes. The prices are decent for the most part and the quality is good (real wood, no smelly off-gassing from composites and such). If you’re lucky, Glen will be working when you stop in — very knowledgeable and a whole lot of fun, he makes your shopping (or browsing) experience fun. The furniture turnover is high (I guess I am not the only fan) so if you see something you like, don’t wait too long. Oh yeah, and hands off the mahogany pieces — they’re mine!
