I“m not sure why they’re still allowed to sell puppies, since most pet stores have been banned from keeping these puppy mills in business.
The caged puppies were covered in their own poop, and looked miserable. I think the least they can do is provide these animals with a clean and hygienic living environment. Most of the puppies have a price tag of over $ 1000, I’m sure you can get them for half the price at professional breeders.
The staff is inexperienced and don’t seem to care much about the animals. Someone was purchasing a fish, and the staff member dropped the fish on the floor where it was flopping around for a while before he was placed into a plastic bag filled with water. The disgruntled customer obviously did not want the fish after that.
They do carry a good variety of pet supplies, but I suggest getting food for your pet at a vet.

What are we rating here. the outward appearance of a store? the merchandise it carries? Sure Safari is not your typical 4 walls of dirty undersized cages filled with overly neglected animals… its got all the bling and flash of a store worthy of its location in such a busy mall… yet anyone celebrating this pet store and any other should do some research on puppy mills!
Quebec is home to some of Canada’s biggest puppy mills.
Before you decide that breeding siblings with eachother is ok for dogs, and then overpricing them while denying that those very dogs could have serious health complications… you really should educate yourself more.
Dogs priced for almost $ 2,000 at Safari can be bought from real breeders on places like Kijiji for about $ 400-​$ 600 and your money will be well spent!

Safari Pet Centre is a franchise based in Quebec and now starting to open up stores in Ontario.
When I first walked by. I am not even sure that it is a pet store with the Easter Island’s statues and the fake stone façade.
The store carries merchandise similar to PJ Pets and Pet Smart. However, they do have a great selections of birds, guinea pigs and mouses. They do sell dogs and cats. which I am not too crazy about. However the kennels they are staying in looks nice and clean and they all quite happy.
The prices are reasonable for dog food and treats. They carries the better food brand like Merrick and Wellness, etc. I ended up buying a bag of Salmon treats for Momo.
They accepts all credit cards and interac but AMEX.
