Norling Caterers

Few of my friends passed by Clark Avenue couple of days ago… and came across this Take-​out/​Delivery place «Chinoise Express». We asked for any special dish that they could prepare for us and voilà… I explored the most delicious comfort food that I had for a long, long time. It’s called MOMO, the Tibetan version of Gyoza in Japanese, Buuz in Mongolia, Mandu in Korea, Dim sum in China and Dumpling for the rest. It was traditionally made with ground buffalo or yak meat but easily substituted with beef, chicken, pork, vegetables, cottage cheese mixed with onions, fresh herbs and spices to render a unique aromatic flavour. The filling is stuffed in a flour wrappers and individually pleated to seal the juice inside and lend a visual aesthetics. These are steamed or pan-​fried. We tried both and equally loved them. We also tried their unique Tibetan sausage (Gyu ma) and Chilly Chicken, that they told me was popularized in India. I ordered a mild Chilly Chicken and thoroughly enjoyed it with my MOMOS. I got their catering menu and was pleased to see their rates… Excellent food from a new place and at a price that doesn’t hurt my wallet. Definite revisit!!!
