This review is long over due:
It seems strange to describe a sales man as honest, but that is what Allen is, as well as a brilliant IT handy person. He is also super-​friendly and patient.
6 months ago, I brought in my 3 year old laptop that would shut-​down randomly due to over-​heating for repair. I looked up different services using Unilocal and saw Allen’s 5 star reviews and called him. Right away I liked him before meeting, he was friendly and professional on the phone and asked me detailed questions to try to diagnose the problem prior to meeting me. When I brought it in he immediately allayed my concerns and did not judge me for the horrible condition that I kept my laptop and also was able to properly diagnose the problem by simply looking at the surface of the laptop. He was also very honest and forthcoming about the costs. He suggested that it would cost me about the same or slightly more to replace the laptop with a slightly used laptop, rather than repair the one I had. So I ended up buying a used laptop that he had restored to good condition for a fair and reasonable price and he threw in a 3 month warranty, which I didn’t need. It is 6 months later and the laptop still works well and is faster and more efficient than my old laptop obviously and I saved money, as I would of eventually had to replace the old one after I paid to repair it. So this is actually cheaper. and it’s not just the price, the service is wroth it too.
I’ve been to other repair shops that don’t really take the time to answer your questions or seem to care at all or there is a language barrier, so they can’t explain anything to you even if they wanted to.

I have a late 2011 Macbook Air model and the charger to it had broke. I tried out a charger from canada computers before buying and it did not work. I panicked and thought there was something wrong with my computer (I’m not very tech savvy).
I brought it to Elitetek before work and when I returned from work, he let me know the computer was ok but strongly recommended that the battery is replaced and obviously, that I need a new charger. So I bought the charger from the store (not authentic apple product, but it was cheaper and it works). After a week of thought, I decided to get it replaced and for the last few months, the computer has been working like new! It used to run on half an hour of battery but it’s more like 2 – 3 hours now.
I’m really happy with the service and result! I think I can use this computer for another few years.

My friend’s beloved Mac died. To buy a new one would have cost $ 1,500; a used one, $ 500. After seeing the good reviews here, I took it into Allen. He did a thorough diagnostic and confirmed what I suspected — the hard drive had died and the system needed more RAM.
Working in IT myself, I figured to get a new hard drive, install a new O/​S on it and add another gig of RAM would be about $ 300. Allen did it for around half that, and had the computer ready THAT SAME DAY.
This kind of service is unheard of these days, especially in computer repair. Many of the repair shops out there are criminal «chop shops» who will rip you off as much as you can. Allen is a shining exception to this rule. I highly recommend him for anyone looking for fast, honest and fairly priced service.
Note that when you go there, he’s at the back of a jewelry store. He doesn’t have a fancy storefront, so he’s able to pass the savings on to you!

There is a reason that he has nothing but five-​star reviews. Allen is a friendly, honest, savvy guy who delivers results.
I came across the Elitetek ad on Kijiji when trying to find a place that could repair (or at least diagnose) my water-​damaged Macbook Pro. I sent him and email and received an immediate response. I brought it in on Saturday morning for a free diagnosis, and he gave me his honest opinion. I decided to proceed with the repair, which he promised would be done by the following Tuesday. On Monday morning he called me to say that it was ready.
Allen went over everything that he tested and fixed, and ended up charging me LESS than he had initially quoted.
He is friendlier than any Apple Genius that I’ve dealt with.
My future computer services will be at Elitetek, without hesitation.

I discovered this biz through their Kijiji ad when I had to fix my Macbook Air and was given a large quote by the Apple store.
The owner Allen was very accommodating in arranging for me to drop off my laptop and it was fixed in 2 days at a price that was lower than another store that I also found online.
I highly recommend this place to get your computers checked out and fixed.

I was happy to find Elitetek for my laptop repair ! They were close to where I am and best of all I had called 2 other business and Allen was the best to speak with on the phone and his price was the as good or better than the other quotes I received. I dropped of my macbook pro and he replaced entire keyboard, plus cleaned up my system and reloaded the machine with my personal software. Finally he went the extra mile and met me out of his way to deliver the laptop and collect payment. I will use his services again for sure and he will likely be my go to contact for Repairs, Updates and Networking as I need it. Thanks Allen!

Spoke with Allen on the phone and he was very polite and helpful. The next day I dropped by and he took care of my computer right away. The diagnostic was free and he was able to solve the issues very quickly. Waited no more than 1.5 hrs. He advised that the best thing was to dbl the ram. After I said not today due to a low budget, he offered about 500mg of ram free of charge to help me along. After everything the fee was surprising low. All in all, he is a very nice and friendly fellow. I strongly recommend him for all your repairs. If I ever need to repair my computer again or if I decide to increase the ram, he will most definitely be my first choice.
