This house is run by a delightful Polish lady. You can interact or enjoy your privacy. We stayed in the Victoria room which was beautifully decorated. The temperature was perfect for the end of July. Breakfast was ample — she was busily making everyone omelettes, pancakes, coffee, tea. She allowed us to keep our beverages in the fridge. In the past I’ve stayed in B&Bs where I felt not too welcome(the main one in Breckenridge), but this was an opposite experience. We were even able to park in the garage. There was cable tv in our bedroom as well as a private bathroom. Very happy with our stay.

We needed a quick and easy place to spend three days in Vancouver this July, and based on the price, we thought we would try here. It’s in a really pretty neighborhood and in walking distance of downtown if you don’t mind walking. It’s also close to the running path which is nice to take either across to Stanley Park or over to Granville Island. Thank goodness it was on the cooler side because our room had no air conditioning, and we had to MacGyver a fan in the propped open window to get the cool air in. Worked like a charm! The bed was comfortable if you already have metal rods in your back, and the breakfast made me believe Canada just doesn’t believe in meat in the morning. I believe in the power of the pig. It’s what’s for breakfast! They really only had two options: eggs or pancakes, but there was fresh-made baked goods which were a nice touch. One turn off is they only serve breakfast from 8:00 — 10:00 so we fit a run in before and by that point a few people had eaten and left. The family who runs the place is friendly, but always seems a bit flustered. Overall, go here if you have a few days and don’t mind walking, but beware, for us late night eaters, NOTHING was open past 9:00 on that side of the river.
