History

Established in 2008.

WMC was founded by John and Shelley Peachel. John, (a practicing Physician as well as an avid climber, skier and paddler) and Shelley (trained as a Paramedic and also a climber, skier, biker and paddler), embarked on developing a Wilderness First Aid program that is truly relevant to the needs of those who spend time in a Wilderness or outdoor environment.

John and Shelley worked closely with Canada West Mountain School (CWMS) in developing and delivering the program over the years.
