I love this place. I love the lady who works there, she is so kind. I love the food and I would spend like $ 50 there if a could in one go, but the owner never lets me because that would be way too much food. I don’t think the food is expensive at all and I like that they have combo plates which is nice instead of going to a dim sum restaurant where you have to order full plates of each dish. The wonton soup is amazing, the dim sum is amazing, the service is amazing. The bubble tea is average, its not the most amazing thing they have there, but I love bubble so whatever. I have no complaints. I’ve been there many times and I am going to continue going as often as I can because its totally worth it.

I work in the area and usually lunch in one of the restaurants along Broadway but decided to walk a couple of extra blocks and ended up at this GEM. I tried their daily special and I was quite please with my wonton soup, veggies and bbq pork bun… so planning to be back next week. Also, spoke with Sarah the owner… she is a very nice lady and I am wishing her all the best as she will be focusing more on this restaurant as she closing the bakery«Sweet Williams“next door which has the best pavlova.

Ordered a passion fruit bubble tea with no bubbles. What I got was a passion fruit slushie, which was okay but a little in the sweet side. What I did not like about this place was the food handling. The set up is open, so you can see everything. The lady was packing dumplings before I ordered. Then, she went right to making my drink without changing gloves!!! So, not too impressed with that.

5 well deserved stars for service, food, and the lovely owner! I’ve just finished another bowl of their delicious steaming hot vegetarian, gluten-free rice noodle soup. It is LOADED with veggies, and is made with Kangen water, and I have it at least once a week. I work in this mall, and unfortunately only just discovered this jewel of a place a few months ago. I have worked here for coming up to 2 years, and never went there until a coworker recently introduced me to it, as it’s tucked away under the escalators. The lady that owns it is quite honestly the sweetest person you’ll ever meet. She puts so much joy and love into that little shop — and also the sinfully good William’s Bakery that she owns right next to it. I only wish for their sake that they were out on a busy street where they could see lots of passer-by traffic, and more people could experience this little gem. But, then I wouldn’t be able to enjoy this soup so much, and there would be a gaping hole left in my life — and my stomach! Pop in to this weird little mall as soon as you can, and give this place a try.

Why you should come here: 1. The owner, Sarah is a delightful woman who will absolutely make your day and make feel served. 2. The Shu Mai are fantastical orbs of wonder. I had the spinach, shrimp and prawn ‘n peanuts combo, perfectly steamed perfectly teamed. 3. I love supporting new small business owners who try extra hard and love what they do. Where to go: City Square Mall food court across from Hi-Rise produce. What to order: Shu Mai combo or the beef noodle stew. I will let you know other things to try after I go back. It’s good and makes you feel good g

3.5 Stars because I have yet to try more of their menu items but I really had to bring this little food court restaurant tucked away and very hidden at City Square’s food court into the Unilocal world. The service was very friendly, fast and overall super. The lady behind the counter was very accommodating and kind. They serves dim sum and ionized micro cluster alkaline water which is used in their all their beverages… Teas, lassies, bubbletea, etc. if you just order food, the water and is free. The vegetarian bun is quite delicious. I was made with whole wheat flour and the fillings of carrot, cabbage and tofu was perfect in portion size with the amount of bun(I am weird and like my food perfectly proportioned). The best part was that it came out steaming hot! I ate it after having a salad and it was still hot! Water in vancouver is pretty great already but Even healthier, chemical free is available! Find water80 and try their veggie buns.
