Love this place, the care that is given to dogs and their owners is so exceptional!
My dear dog dharma loves it there and they have the best selection of healthy Eco conscious dog food brands!

We recently had our dog at Wagababa Daycare and boarding over the weekend for three nights. They were really friendly and easy going — very accommodating to us as new customers.
Drop off and pickup was easy at the nice clean shop. Our dog came back looking very happy (and a bit tired from playing). They sent a pic of her enjoying herself at the beach over the weekend :)
Would definitely recommend them.

OMG I love this place. I found some awesome stuff for Freedom (my black lab) here. The customer service was really friendly and the prices were fair market for the items. This store is small but they pack a lot of stuff in a tiny space worth checking out.

I accidentally discovered this cool shop while wandering east on keefer visit the event near Columbia. A cute black gate at the door and a young shop keeper to provide helpful advice and assistance. My puppy Tucker and I checked out their dog apparel, and after trying two on, settled on a cute black/​grey polo shirt and some pepperoni sticks. I wish I lived in the area.

This place is friendly, but it is very dog-​focused (not much for cats, pretty much nothing for small animals), and it doesn’t seem very well-​run. It always takes me ages to get in and out of there, and I feel like I’m always tripping over daycare dogs (don’t get me wrong, I like dogs a lot, but the store is very cramped!).
It’s close to my house, so I thought I’d buy my cat food here. I was told that I could special order food over the phone or by email, since they don’t stock a lot of canned kitty food. I emailed in an order for a case of food, giving them my phone number and very clear info about the food I wanted. I never received an email or a call back, so I gave up and started buying cat food at Aquariums West, which, bafflingly, seems to have a bigger cat selection.

Unfortunately, I have to revisit my review. At first, they seemed fun. It’s a clean and clear space, but I think they have gotten too busy. My dog was acting strange after a day at Wagababa and when I called, no one knew if something happened — thought he was obviously spooked by something. After asking a few more questions, they told me that my dog was just sitting in front of the gate whining all day. Why hadn’t they told me this before??? She also told me they had 35(!!) dogs that day. The space is not big enough for 35 dogs, at all. I always ask about how he was, and no one ever told me. I was so disappointed and went back to Canine Concierge, where all he does is play all day. It might not be their fault that he didnt like it, but they definitely should have informed me the previous 5 times I asked.

I love Wagababa. We live really close by so we really lucked out with this place. Our dog, Casper just absolutely loves it here and every time we are close by he pulls towards the store or the entrance to the daycare so that’s a sign of a happy customer! (If he is happy so are we!)
They have a shop located on Keefer St and in the International Village, they have the daycare. The shop is on the smaller side but has a lot of selection and the staff always make sure you’re finding everything you need. From food, treats, collars to winter coats for dogs, it’s a one stop shop for pet owners! The prices vary and it is a little on the pricey side but they carry quality items so it’s really a dog «boutique.»
The daycare is GREAT. I really hate to compare with other business but opposed to some of the other daycares we have been to, the price is very reasonable (a little cheaper than most) AND there’s NO smellyness. Believe me, there are other daycares (and I don’t want to mention any names) that really just smell terrible!!! And I understand that it is a place that is accidental prone where smelly dogs roam but some are just unbearable. They daycare also has a storefront so you can purchase treats, bowls, crates. etc!
They also offer a boarding service which we have already tried numerous times and again, Casper just LOVES it. They make it very personable and take him to their homes (most of them are dog owners of course) so you can imagine all the playtime they are getting! I’m glad we found a place that we can trust our little guy with. And trust me, I am an overprotective dog owner!

I stopped in here the other day to get a conditioning spray and slicker brush for my puppy because they didn’t have them at Barking Babies. This place is actually closer to my apartment than any other pet supplies shop, so its super convenient.
I went in on a Saturday afternoon without my dog, and there were a few people in there shopping. This place is filled to the brim with product. So of course, I had no idea where to even start looking for what I needed. Luckily, the sales girl was on the ball and she asked if she could help me out. She was doing an excellent job of balancing her time among all of her customers. I told her what I was looking for and she showed me the sprays and the brushes. Sadly, they didn’t have the kind of spray I was looking for… they just had waterless shampoos.
I was sad because I really didn’t want to have to commute to PetSmart.
And then, low and behold, I was just poking around and in a RANDOM spot not even NEAR the grooming products, was a single bottle of lavender conditioning spray! YES! I brought it to the counter and she was like, «Oh you found one!»
This place could be a 5-​star shop… if they were a liiiiiiiittle bit less cluttered and a little bit more organized.

This little pet shop has an excellent selection of decently priced raw dog food! The staff was friendly, knowledgable and ready to answer all my questions.

Tiny place, but full of friendliness. You are usually greeted by a few dogs at the front door. I love the fact that it’s a doggy daycare and the dogs are free to run freely around the store. Somehow, they manage to maximize the usage of the retail space and there is an interesting selection of items. Some a bit pricey. Chinatown has turned into quite a trendy area to hang out.

A-​OK over all. That’s really all I can say.
Helen and her staff are genuine animal lovers, which is so nice to see. My correspondence with the team was always clear and informative. The people working for Helen seem to actually enjoy their jobs and aren’t just doing it for a paycheck.
As far as the daycare services go: I informed the staff that the dog I would be dropping off was a puppy. FULL of boundless energy and extremely playful. They assured me it wouldn’t be an issue, as they have a few «time out rooms» if the dogs need to be separated. I was also told that they only keep the dogs in these rooms for 15−20mins MAX to let them calm down and relax, so I was ok with the concept.
However, when I went to collect pup after his 4^th or 5^th visit to Wagababa at around 6pm, I found that he was in one of the time out rooms — even though most of the other dogs had been picked up by their owners for the day already. When they went to get him, he was SLEEPING and had to wake up. It was pretty obvious to me that he had been in there for more than 15 – 20 minutes. To boot, he was active all evening once he was brought home. Not impressed!
I asked how long he had been in there and one of the staff replied «for the afternoon…» and kind of trailed off, obviously he could tell I wasn’t impressed. When I asked why, they said the dog was too hyper and too playful. I asked if he was being aggressive or harming the other pets, which I was told he wasn’t. «He just wanted to play too much» was the response I got. So not impressed.

Yes, as I told you, HE IS A PUPPY. All he wants to do is play! If it was going to be a problem, I would have appreciated a heads up the first or second time he was dropped off and would have made alternate arrangements! (But I guess that would mean lost cash flow for them!)
If I the end goal was to have the dog sleep all day, he would have been left at home. I didn’t pay $ 30 to have him locked in a room alone. Not super pleased about this, as I’m not sure how many of the other times he was banished to the time out room for long periods and have not utilized this service again since.

My dog absolutely loves this shop, whenever we go, he is left roaming around the store, and is greeted by really friendly staff and their really friendly dogs. I think my dog thinks its a «doggy daycare». I love the selection of raw dog food, and they also have a great selection of toys that I have not seen anywhere else. I usually purchase toys from here because I know that they are safely made, and they do not sell anything that is «crappy». Its a really fun store!

I was impressed with the great service. I was looking for a set of dogs shoes for the salty winter roads and they stock a great pair. The lady measured my dogs feet then tried a pair on testing to make sure they fit. It was nice that they had all sizes available.

Great shot for anything for your 4 legged family member. Very good service, very knowledgeable and pleasant. Always a few dogs around if you need a canine fix. Thank you for being part of Crosstown/​Chinatown.

Nice friendly knowledgeable staff here if you have a four legged pet… A smaller locally owned store that has a complete line of most required and desired products to keep our family members happy. They carry a fairly large selection of frozen meats. Haven’t been here enough to rate them any more.
