Vin de Garde Cellar Systems

I had Vin de Garde install a cooling unit in my new build house’s wine room. The install seemingly went just fine. After a few weeks the cooling unit started dripping condensate, causing water damage to my wine room. Despite numerous calls by myself and my builder, Vin de Garde would not attend to the problem. Eventually I realized that Vin de Garde (having been paid out in full) wasn’t interested and had to have a plumber take a look at it. The plumber discovered that the cooling unit connection to the condensate drain was very poorly done with ill fitting clips and electrical tape. A real mickey mouse method!
My advice is beware of this company. If you are having work done, hold money on them until you are sure that the install is fine. Very unprofessional behaviour all around.

OK be a wine snob, if you really like wine tasting and ever have a chance to attend one at vin de garde wine tasting room go for it. It is designed and setup so the wines reign supreme not the a fake Tuscan style room you often taste wine in. It is setup with proper light and ventilation. It add greatly to the event if the setting is proper.
