My «go-to» Vancouver Public Library branch used to be the Firehall Branch, but now that I’ve moved the Terry Salman Branch is my new library hub. The Terry Salmon Branch is quite large(at least in comparison to the Firehall Branch), and is located in the Hillcrest Community Center. It has a great selection of young adult and fiction books, as well as magazines and dvds. The library itself is well organized, and there are plenty of staff around if you have any questions or need help. The hours are the shining star here: They’re open 9 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 6 pm on the weekends. These hours make it a very accessible library, especially for people who work during the week. The only downside is that it can be tough to find parking since the Hillcrest Community Center is quite busy.

Every library in Vancouver just pales in comparison to the Downtown Branch, but this branch is in a great location. They have a reasonable amount of french children’s books and the staff are very helpful.
