What would your first review after gaining a shiny badge that says ”you have just joined the elite forces”… Hmmm… Tic toc tic toc… I think I just made it awkward for myself, now it is not going to work. Music might get me going; ”I’ve been a bad bad boy” Paul Jones with generous sprinkle of cow-bell in the background… Not working… Over-sized sandwich would do, baguette full of mortadella, pickles, olive paste, melted cheese and tomatoes… No, I will keep that to munch on while cracking laughs on Eddie Murphy’s ”RAW”… Tic toc tic toc… I live in the most beautiful neighborhood in the world. Especially when summer comes, local produce hits the markets, lil hip cafes, best slice pizza in the world, cheap and delicious eating, friendly faces, even more laid back attitude than the rest of the city, the crisp air filled with mostly useless, yet wonderful conversations, artzie dreams of youngsters, yoga, bicycles, Italians and the most beautiful girls with the most beautiful smiles… How did I get so lucky I wonder… One of my favorite part of this blessed life-style is my library. I seriously do not know where to start from. I am over whelmed by the perfection of this institute. Everything is thought to a ridiculous detail to give you the smoothest service. Any staff I have ever interacted –mind you, I stop by every second day– are kind, helpful, getting out of their ways to provide you with even a better attitude than whole east-van combined. I mostly use library for books and movies. Books are plenty with every available choice. They do not have it in, they will get it for you. Put a request in and it will be delivered to your branch, you will receive an e-mail and show up. Movie selection depends on the time of the day. Early mornings and close to shutting down, more to choose from. I do realize that it is not as comprehensive as a video store, but than again, it is not the point. Sometimes less selection is a good thing, you just grab whatever they have on the shelves, saves on time. Mostly old classics in this case, which actually carries a great details of sharp style; the gentlemen, the lady, the dance, fashion, drama, Mastroianni, Bogart, Astaire, Hepburn, Hayworth, Dean, Presley, Fellini… you know, people with the mojo… and you can grab upto 15 regular movies, 5 series and 3 new releases(if I am remembering it right) all at once for a week up to three. And did I mention, they do all this stuff with no charge, free, nothing. Who provides this kind of excellence, at this day and age, dealing with your cranky self with accommodating endless requests, needs, ideas and caprice just to enrich your mind, imagination for absolutely free with a bazillion of accessibility options. I am a big, big, big, big, and did I mention a big fan? Thank you for your hard and impeccable work. Now only if we can get the parking ticket officers to work with this kind of etiquette; Life would be sunny, with plenty of money and you…
