A great lunch-time food court option, I started going here after the veggie place went out of business. They have a great list of gluten-free options, and the staff are really nice. There is one woman who is always on grill and she sees me and goes ‘Number 5?’. I’m boring yes, but I love my chicken on a stick. 7 bucks and I’m full of chicken and rice noodles. One day perhaps I’ll try another dish… as long as I still get to pour that sweet carrot infused sauce on top of everything.

Probably the best food court food I’ve ever had. At lunchtime, it has the longest line-ups out of any of the other joints at this food court for a reason. My go-tos are combo #1(chicken skewer, roll dip on vermicelli with salad) and #3(same but instead of roll dips, steamed crepes which are also delicious) depending on how healthy I feel like being. But it’s so hard to resist their spring rolls which they call roll dips! They’re better than most spring rolls at sit-down Vietnamese restaurants. The combos are extremely filling so I have be careful not to fall into a food coma at work afterwards! Ask for sriracha and hoisin sauce to go if it doesn’t come with.

I’m probably being way too generous since I haven’t eaten there yet plus it’s only a food court, but they serve gluten free & shell fish options! Larry, don’t say I don’t look after ya! lol For what it’s worth, it seems clean & the lady nice to answer health questions.

I love food and until recently I had NEVER tried Vietnamese. I know, I must have just been struck by lightening to never have had Vietnamese until now. I didn’t know what I was missing and now I am hooked. The ladies here are fantastic. They add the extra flair to the meal. I like combo 1 as it has all I want and more. One must keep in mind that it is a food court so you aren’t going to find high end food but it’s tasty and delicious none the less. I actually might have to go there today too now that I am writing about it.

Every time I visit my good friend Dr Mah at Smile City Square, we invariably head to Vana. The ladies there are golden, happy and lovely all at the same time. Today I met the exquisite Angela.(oops turns out Angela isn’t new… just new to me…) In any case she is very engaging and super sweet! Good thing the food is num num as well. I’m not usually fond of the food court, but Vana has me covered in this respect. I’m a total fan of the lovely Vana ladies and their yummy food. g

It’s Vietnamese food in a food court. It’s not bad and I’d eat here again if I happen to be strolling through this mall. The lady was friendly and happy that I was giving her business. I ate lunch around 11:00AM and it was dead so I’m not sure if business picks up later on. Remember to stay away from the pre-cooked food sitting in front, who knows how long it sits there for.(Unless you go when they open in the morning)

This place is very good for a food court. A lot of the positive aspects come from the three ladies who work there, as they are super nice and remember all their regular customers. It’s fast food, but if you are on lunch around Cambie and 12th Ave; give this place a try. Combo 1 is a good«go to».
