I lived in San Fransisco from 1980 — 1999 where I owned my first Japanese restaurant, Mama-ya. I moved to Vancouver in 2000 where I was hired as the first kosher sushi chef at Nava Creative Kosher Catering. My husband Gabriel worked at Tojo’s Restaurant 2004 — 2010 as the first Mexican sushi chef. In July of 2010 we opened up Tokyo Thyme in Kerrisdale.
