I went to Dr. Thong for a hearing issue. Dr. Thong had not read my file prior to the appointment which included a CT scan. When he started to ask me basic questions, I referred him to the CT scan and the hearing clinic results. He said he didn’t need them and wouldn’t look at it. He was very abrupt, cut me off, and determined immediately that the issue with my hearing was that I ground my teeth because my shoulders were tight. I told him that the tension in my shoulders was diagnosed already by another practitioner and was due to my occupation. He told me not to speak. I walked out of the appointment. I then checked in with my dentist who said it was very unlikely I grind my teeth — I don’t have distinct pattern on my teeth or any tenderness etc in my jaw. Dr. Thong is the worse, by far, doctor I have ever interacted with.

Dr. Thong was really good with me. I was a total nervous wreck and stressed about the appointment and he was both reassuring and patient.
I’m super grateful that I got in to see this doctor. My hearing was diminished quite suddenly over the last few weeks and I couldn’t seem to clear it up by myself. I had no idea what was wrong. I managed to get a referral for this doctor and waited almost a week for the appointment.
I didn’t expect him to actually treat me on my first appointment but sure enough I left with my hearing back! I was seriously amazed, (totally shaken up from the whole scary procedure, but amazed.)
I’m a very nervous person and he dealt with me in a manner that he should be proud of. Thank you Dr Thong.
