I love mom and pop shops. I came here to get some paint samples for a recent project that I am doing. The lady at the til was super helpful with the selections of color suggestions for my project.

I had a similar experience to John M. I can’t understand why the clerk was so rude, don’t they need customers to stay in business? Also, this is a very small store with a narrow selection of products. Dollar stores on Davie St. have some of the same products for a fraction of the price.

This place is a great old school«Mom & Pop» hardware store. If you live in the West End and need your day-to-day hardware supplies, this is the place to go. They have all the little things you could possibly need to finish your small DIY project. However, this not the place to go if you need to rent a compressor or get some lumber ripped down to size, that’s why giant box stores in the suburbs exist. The staff are friendly and quite helpful, and have yet to have any issues with some of my seemingly stupid handyman questions.

It’s a great little place in the West End for basic everyday home hardware items such as nuts and bolts, paint brushes, tools, etc. It is a very small store but it probably carries what you need if your tool box runs out of something. This is the place I go every time I needed hooks, a screwdriver, anchors while I was doing something around the house and needed something right away. BTW … You will also be able to catch up on the news while you shop because CBC One was on every time I went there.
