This place is a hidden gem for breakfast/brunch. They have an awesome selection of food on their menu at a decent price. The restaurant is contemporary, tidy and big. Service is fast and that’s a bonus especially when you are starving for breakfast. I always leave the restaurant feeling super stuffed and satisfied!

Came back from a 20 people work dinner/celebration in a private room at this location about an hour ago. Atmosphere: nice décor, great set-up. The room itself was at least 4⁄5 or 5⁄5 for value Food: 3⁄5. The food was not bad at all, except it doesn’t give me enough traction. I kept on remembering how I had better steak at other casual dining restaurant like Cactus Club and Earl’s. Service was 3⁄5. They come and replace my drinks, they are polite and friendly when they take away your place. Incident Resolution 0.5−1÷5. At the beginning of the evening, we all sat and waited for people to come in. Once we were in, appetizers were set at tall tables and the waitresses do not walk around the table(the long way) to guide the flow of traffic, but walked head on with each other and the standing and walking guests in a one-person walk way. I yield to make way for an incoming waitress with plates of cold appy, and turned around, and banged my head on the edge of their flat screen TV. I had a cut on my forehead, which was was bleeding and I had to walk out to the lounge without assistance and had to order the staff to get my aids. They gave me what seems to be an industrial standard band aid, about 2⁄4 width of a credit card, that looks like the three or four inch masking tape one use when doing house paintings. Throughout the evening, only one individual regularly came to check on my well being. His name is Grant Sam(I think) and he was the only one who came to check on me throughout the night. No manager, no supervisor, nothing else. When we had to line up outside our private room to have our bills paid individually, the poor waitress had to make multiple trips in to get each bill individually. I am sorry I had to make her walk 2 more times because 1) she gave me someone else’s bill and 2) she couldn’t explain why the 17% tip appeared on the bill twice. Before I left, I mentioned about my very obvious band aid and had to ask for a clear band aid. I guess what I want to say is this: I do not plan to sue. I do not expect any comp or gesture of apology(and there was none). I do not expect you to apologize or tell me what you will do differently in your safety standards or staff training. I only hope someone will ask about these questions next time they have a booking. I only hope one of your supervisors will try to do something different because I can only imagine that I am not the first or last person who will be injured at this establishment. The second star out of the 2 stars was for Grant. Thank you. [I am sorry I am not able to write as clearly as I’d like due to the freshness of the injury tonight]

My wife told me she wanted some steak so on we went to The Edge. I made a reservation using the Open Table app: it was incredibly easy and we were seated right away. Make no mistake about it: this is a hotel restaurant, and this should say it all. More to the point, my wife and I got our steaks: my medium-rare 10oz was excellent, but my wife’s well done 8oz was too dry. My biggest peeve was that the waitress(who was wearing that dark lipstick that was so popular in the 90s) would make a deer-in-headlights face every time I named a bourbon, like she never heard of it… or hasn’t read the drinks menu. The service was alright, but the whole place had an atmosphere of… cheapness that it just couldn’t shake using fancy furniture and décor. In the end, the $ 100 tab for two steaks and four drinks was quite reasonable, but this place is nothing to write home about.

I already wrote a tip for this restaurant. Very slow service in the restaurant area. Outside though, things move fast. Understaffed? Yes! But great overworked students as staff. The bartender is also overworked. So sit in a visible area. Food is great. What will kill this place is improper serve staff management and concentration on the patio.

Been here a few times. Bit of an older crowd and it’s usually not very full. The calamari is really good. Comes with fried jalapeños which are delicious. Nachos are a pass. The lamb burger is very salty as they add a lot of feta cheese. Side salad is good. Rib burger is good too. The patio is nice and relatively empty. It’s a good place to go for dinner with a group when you can’t get into the keg or somewhere closer to the core.

First off my wife and I have experienced several visits to this restaurant while visiting Vancouver as it is across the street from the Holiday Inn and I can tell you from experience that I would highly recommend it. Service has been excellent as well as a good variety menu items. They also have a fantastic happy hour as well with outdoor seating which makes for a nice atmosphere. I must make a special shout out to one server name Jerry who truly made our dining experience even that more exceptional. So if you’re looking for good service ask for Jerry.

This place seemed like the nicest place in the area. The service was pretty slow though considering there were only three other tables to be served. We waited about 20 mins for our waitress and when she arrived she immediately tried to take our food order but never even asked what we wanted to drink. The food was okay but nothing special.

Extra star for the best hotel restaurant on the strip here lol. Definitely one of the more spacious ones. If you’re here for a business meeting, it’s great as long as you request sitting on the left side. Lounge atmosphere without the bar, and a fireplace to boot. Drinks are moderately priced, the gin & tonic less than $ 8. Attentive service. Patio action at this time of year.

The atmosphere is nice. We waited over 15 min to the waitress to order. The place was 10% occupied. We order steak and chicken curry dish. The plates arrived after 20+ minutes. The stake was bed quality feel like defrost and not cooked like we ask. The chicken curry was ok but not more than that. We accept for high quality food from a restaurant like ‘The Edge’.

This is a weird piece of property that was designed in a bygone area and doesn’t really fit in any of the past vibes of this neighbourhood. That being said, the current hotel owners are trying to make the best of it and have done quite a surface overhaul of the space and made it feel a bit like a pale imitation of the Keg’s lounge or something. This is not my kind of place, but my dad can have a hard time hearing in loud venues and tends to favour less challenging food and on both fronts this place delivered. It sort of has pub food prices — «flatbreads» for $ 15 that are ok but just don’t seem they should be worth that much, Good salads though, and similar prices. The place had an eclectic crowd(but was maybe ¼ full when we were there). Try hard Granville kids making use of this place as a drinking lounge,. and then Whitespot type older people there more to eat — as I said,. weird. The staff was massive,. it seemed like a new person at every turn but well trained,. though maybe too polished to seem genuine,. I think these are the people that aspire to eventually become Cactus Club employees or something more upscale — I think it would work better with friendlier hipster style staff(the down to earth variety),. but no complaints, just an observation. Overall, I’d say this place exceeded my expectations(which were low). I’m not sure, but I think there is usable outside space in the summer, which is rare on Granville(to me this is is a positive). The non natural vibe deters me though, and the food was nothing unique. I feel as if maybe the true value of this place is night-time(we were there at old person dinner time,… 530 Saturday). For those that party on Granville, I could see this place being a good overflow location for those wanting a lounge but can’t get into the pretentious thumping clubs around the corner, or Doolins, If it does that job well for that crowd,. that is good enough for me, and as I said thee food is A-ok(bad dessert choices though)

I walked by the place many times and it looked inviting from the street. As it was pouring rain, and I didn’t want to walk to far I gave it a try. I had the beef dip and I was surprised by the huge portions. The sandwich was loaded with flavourful beef and fresh peppery arugula which was nice. The beef was very tender and well cooked. The fries were cold when I got them but the sever Alex quickly rectified it and I ended up with a giant bowl full if fries(more then I could possibly finish). They were well seasoned and hit the second go around. The beer was just ok, it was kind of flat. I think the tap needed an adjustment. Overall a comfortable lounge to go to and relax. Alex was very nice. I would be back.

Was SO surprised by our awesome visit here today! Hubby and I came after work at 5pm and it was empty. Had a groupon and was able to taste 2 appies and 2 burgers. Probably the BEST calamari I’ve ever tasted. Not rubbery, very crispy and not overly salted. Wings were good(a bit skinny but perfectly cooked) and the burger was juicy, hot and big. Had it with the potato and leek soup that was creamy and flavourful. Service was attentive, cute and friendly. Place was clean. No complaints! Our only suggestion would be maybe serve the pickle on the side for the burgers. Overall, quite a pleasant experience and I would come back, especially for large groups.

The food was great(I had a chicken burger and fries). But the portion was not enormous. If they would have pitcher of Beer, I would give them a 3 stars review. But they don’t so… Also the keg was not fresh and the beer was kinda of flat and $$$.

Came by to check out the bar and grab a beer. Parking here sucks. Davie is awful, and Granville is even worse. I wish you the best of luck. The beers are reasonably priced — some $ 5 or so for the specials. What’s interesting is that if you want to go upstairs to the conference rooms at the Château Granville, they have to carry the beers up the stairs for you. Something to do with liability I’m sure. Someone must’ve wiped out here once. As I didn’t eat here, I cannot comment on the food. The ambience looks decent, thought the interior of the establishment looks a bit dated(1990s).

This place is weeeeird. Lets call it like it is and here’s the story short and sweet. I walked into the bar through the Château Granville(Best Western) to look for a couple friends. Before I could find them one of the Bellhop’s started tearing into me for letting the door close behind me and not holding it for him. Or as he put it «slammed it on him». I didn’t have a chance to apologize(Because he was so upset I had no chance to speak) I instinctively went into the defensive zone and asked him sarcastically if «he’d be alright?» and laughed it off with my friends. AFTERWARDS the Bar Manager came over to me to lecture me on how this wasn’t a funny situation which I kindly told him«it was» because of how his customer service staff just called me out like an asshole because they’re having a bad day. End of story, this place is fucked up emotions are high in there, customer service, guest first impressions and sales are not something they’re interested in working on. I hope they figure it out for their own sake as it was a Saturday night at the bar had about 8 people in it. Cheers!

Well first of all, I would like to say that Vancouver is beautiful, the people are super nice. Vancouver has been off the chain. Now, after a long long night of drinking since noon, we decided to eat at the lounge/restaurant, located at the bottom of the hotel. First glance, its clean, and it looks great. They had an outdoor patio, so we decided to eat out there. The weather was perfect! I wasn’t in the mood to eat anything real greasy so I opted with the scones. It was the best decision I’ve ever made about food, it was that food. It comes with 3 scones, 2 blueberry and 1 cheese scone. Man oh man, it was the best scone everrrrr. It was soft and moist ridiculous. It comes with a side of blueberey thingy I don’t really know what’s it called and vanilla gelato which was absolutely frekin good. If heaven had a go to food, this would be it. Oh and our waitress was super cool, friendly.

Made my first visit to this lounge on Friday, with my friend. It was his choice. He’d said how much he liked the place, although he’s only been there once or twice. I ordered the Edge Steak Sandwich, my friend — the Edge Burger, along with Calamari to start. The Calamari was nothing short of disappointing. It tasted packaged/frozen, and it also came in strips. My steak sandwich was quite tasty, however nothing struck my particular interest. I’ve had my fair share of delicious steak sandwiches and this definitely shies in comparison. The service may have been friendly, but the attire/uniform is atrocious. The 2 girls working that night were in skimpy dresses 5 inches short of a decent length. I sensed the discomfort as they were both constantly tugging at their dresses. It made me wonder if they were given this dress code for work. Bottom line: this place is not worth your curiosity. Prices are average but you might as well stop by a Joey’s if you’re in the mood for casual dining.

My friends and I decided to pick a random place on Granville Street to have a few drinks so we decided on The Edge Social Grille & Lounge. This place has a lot of potential. Although, we didn’t try any food, we had the sangria. It was refreshing and a pitcher was only $ 16. Unfortunately, it needed more alcohol because it was mainly juice. The other drink prices are fairly average for downtown Vancouver, but I didn’t get to try anything else. The furniture was clean and looked fairly new. The layout was spacious and the décor was modern. Their downfall is creating a bumpin’ atmosphere for people to enjoy conversations and drinks on a Saturday night. They had a good selection of music that wasn’t too loud. Now instead playing music videos on 5 of their TV screens, they decided to play the news. I don’t know about you, but listening to David Guetta while news anchors are sitting behind a desk reading you the latest breakthrough, isn’t exactly the ideal atmosphere. We asked 2 waitresses to see if they can change the channel and they said they would, but in the end they did not. The manager was friendly and tried to invite us to come back, but only if I’m in the area I would give this place another try.
