The Cross Decor and Design

Thank you Cross for being DOG FRIENDLY even though you have all these fragile beautiful things I could look at for days. The staff are always so helpful and so friendly even though my dog loves rubbing her face on all the furry Moroccan chairs! This is my go-​to place for tea accessories — tea (cream of earl grey omg), tea cups, and saucers. The store is like a giant Pinterest board come to life.

The cross is a beautiful furniture store in Yaletown. The store features a wide variety of home décor and many pieces are local. There are some very affordable items and some higher priced but everything is relative to the craftsmanship that goes into it. I would highly recommend stopping in this store if you are searching for a gift or just for yourself.

This is one of my favorite furniture/​home décor store in town! Located at the corner of hipster Yaletown, the store is absolutely gorgeous inside with beautiful and tasteful decorations and furniture pieces. The store is spacious and has different themes and showrooms of different arrangements of their stunning and unique furniture. Price range is moderate to high considering their uniqueness and quality. Staff is friendly and paid parking available around the area.

It’s always a treat to stop by when I’m in the area, a high light really. It’s a great store for inspiration, home décor, gifts, books and jewelry. All I can say is FABULOUS!

From the outside this place looks small, however, the inside is large and they use every inch of their retail real estate. This place is a museum of cool things for the home, especially the tea sets and trinkets. Here’s the problem… as much as I love everything about the store down to the staff the items are way too over priced, even for the area. They had a children’s area and they wanted $ 21 for a single finger puppet! No joke. This gives you an idea of what the prices are like. I actually had something in hand in Easter bunny theme (I have a thing for pink rabbits), however, walked back and put it back on my shelf ’cause there are so many other Easter things that I could buy for something seasonal. If even the prices were 10% less it would still be $$$ but still be marginal enough for impulse buying. As I walked around I saw more browsers and eyebrows raised at prices. For this reason I give this a 3 vs. a 5 even though there are lots of other awesome things they have going for them.

Have come here for various greeting cards over the years and small gifts for friends (candles, cookbooks, jewels)
Came in with a bracelet that I had received as a gift, and the jewel had popped out. I asked if they could get it fixed, but instead, no questions asked, they offered me a brand new one.
Would highly recommend not only to make purchases, but also to browse around. It really is gorgeous store.

What a beautiful store. I have seen many a dream living room or bedroom displayed, and have coveted several of their items. They have a great selection of candles, jewellery, and, what I go there for… greeting cards! Alas, due to their high prices, I’m more often a window shopper than actual shopper for their home décor stuff, but if I were to win the lottery, I would furnish and decorate my place with a lot of their items.

I have avoided this place because I know if I went in, I’d buy something!
So many cute things, but not in my budget. so I came out with a bunny creamer and an owl tea bag plate, oh yeah!

This store is fantastic! I would live here if they let me. All jokes aside, the customer service is excellent. Despite there are some review comments about the lack of greeting, I personally quite appreciate the quietness and space they give to their customers. For the record, I have always been greeted with a subtle smile by one the staffs every time when I visit the store.
On a separate note, one of the sales managers (Mark T.) was helping us and his ability to follow-​up and relate to us (the customers) is exceptional. We will be back for another purchase very soon!

The stuff in this store is great, don’t get me wrong. They have awesome but expensive gifts and ornaments. My main complaint is that every time I go in there no one greets me and I don’t feel welcome. They give you that feeling like they think you’re going to steal or something. I always just walk right out. As someone who works in a boutique, I feel that boutiques should have the best customer service, and this place clearly doesn’t have it.

In addition to beautiful art, furniture, accessories, linens and lighting, they have a stunning jewellery section. This is my go to place for décor accessorizing and personal shopping sprees (I have a weakness for Amanda Voglers pieces).
All of the staff are very helpful and approachable, there are too many to name but we love going in on the weekend with a latte to see what’s new and to gleam some inspiration. Yaletown would feel backed with out them, they are such an integral part of our neighbourhood.

If you need a lovely gift for a «hard to please»… The Cross has so many options and is always a lovely shop to browse away an hour or two.
I never stay that long tho… I’m always needing a last minutes gift that «should have been bought weeks ago» — so I’m in and out in a flash.
You can find nice things from $ 20 – 45. Yes, yes yes.

Ever since I discovered The Cross Décor and Design in Yaletown I have stopped being spend thrifty as I always impulsively buy something whenever I pass by. I don’t even want to know how much I spent here so far– probably in the thousands. They sell all the things for home decoration. I love how everything is ritzy hotel-​style which is what I aim for. Whenever I can’t help but think of Audrey Hepburn because I think she would love this store. I’ve purchased candle holders, a plant, pastry plates, a throw, candles here. If you are a fasionista the book section is worth checking out as well as they have hard cover Chanel, Louis Vuitton books.
Their boxing day sale is still on and are around 30~50% off. Other than that you can find some random discounts here. I bought a fancy throw that was originally $ 135 but was reduced to $ 95 just because one pom pom fell out (but I could easily sew it back in)
Like the store and the staff here. They take pride in their work and help you until you find what you are looking for… and they love my dog which is ++. Don’t forget to check their Instagram for their new stuff that comes in!

One of my favorite décor stores, I can’t afford much here as each piece is quite expensive but you can always find some hidden gems here. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If your budget is tight you can always jsut enjoy a cold lemon water that they have and just marvel at all the nice things in the store

I really am a fan of this store, if only I could be a true buying fan. The Cross Décor and Design is a beautifully presented store that provides a soft rustic, vintage and oh la la kind of feel.
With a healthy wallet, you can transform your home with lush duvets, gigantic cloud-​like pillows, tastefully worn closets, ottomans, chairs and tables, modern and sleek picture frames and royally sparkling chandeliers. Not to mention you may adorn your child in frilly ballet dresses or prince charming worthy sweater vests as they hold onto adorable and soft plush animals.
I really enjoy the back corner of the store because of all the interesting and different books. I can find a book perfect for each of my girlfriends, like an Audrey Hepburn book, Paris books or memories of Gucci.
Cross is definitely a store you need to take your time in because there are lovely items hidden everywhere. I enjoy their Voluspa coconut wax candles in Eden & Pear, delicate gold and silver jewelry, unique and feminine umbrellas, kitchen ware, and more.
Overall, a good store to pick up a gift that isn’t run-​of-​the-​mill or buy for your future living quarters, or at least dream of it…

I want to give this store more stars because I want to own everything in here. The reality is that although everything is gorgeous some items do seem overpriced.
Regardless, I can often find inspired gifts for a house-​warming party or a cute accent item for my daughter’s latest bedroom makeover. There are some sweet baby things for a shower as well.
If we weren’t a rather clumsy household I’d probably buy more pretty things here but spending money on breakables isn’t a wise use of my tight ”mum’ budget right now. For now I’ll keep myself content with browsing and dreaming.

If I could move into one store in Vancouver, I would want to live in The Cross.
All the décor is beautiful, with many different items at different price points — so while I may be drooling over the coffee tables and ottomans, I can at least afford a couple kitchen items and pick up a couple cute things for gifts.

First time visiting this Home Décor shop in Vancouver the other day and it was so much to take in that it seemed almost overwhelming, everywhere you looked there was something that caught your eye.
Everything is displayed wonderfully and the sales associates are very knowledgeable, helpful and you can tell they just love working in the store. Prices range for $ 10 to many thousands. Lots of vintage pieces as well.
I walked out with a glass skull to add to the collection and it is just great.
They have an on line business as well and I will for sure pop in again when I’m in Vancouver since it is just down the street from my hotel.
A return trip is for sure in order — I think I might go back and buy that skull vintage glass tray

This place is awesome for gifts. They have cool gifts from all price ranges and they gift wrap everything for free as well. Oh and they sell really cute cards to go with your gifts too!
Maybe not the best place to bring your husband/​boyfriend as it’s pretty «girlie» (which equals boring), but this is definitely my «go-​to» place when I want to impress and treat someone I care about.

I love most of the stuff in the store, but the quality is not that great which is why I was baffled by some of the price tags. You can find a couple things in here that are really cute (not many practical things) but this store is meant for people that have a lot of money and a lot of time on their hands. I do like their kitsch book selection (also not very practical but nice) and the overall layout is impressive, if I could live in the store I would.
The only thing that really put me off (and warranted the two star rating) was how rude the staff was to me when I walked in. I was looking for something nice for my mom, no one approached me and they basically rolled their eyes when I asked them a question. They might have had a bad day, but I thought the goal was to make the customer feel welcomed, not stupid for entering.
