Specialties
We are a game store for gamers by gamers. We specialize in non-electronic games that require face to face interaction like board games, collectible card games, miniature wargames and role playing games.
We carry a full line of Warmachine and Hordes products as well as large stocks of Warhammer 40k and Fantasy products. We stock a diverse range of cards games from Magic the Gathering to Yu-gi-oh and Legend of the 5 rings.
We provide gaming space for all our games and keep the store open late so you can come and enjoy your favorite games any day of the week after work. Please check our calendar for special events and to find out which day is reserved for your favorite game. Come down any day of the week to meet our friendly staff or just to relax and get away from the world for a bit.
History
Established in 2007.
The Connection Games & Comics 2 started out in the basement of the esteemed Pow Comics. the space was cramped and the ceiling was low but we made a community by making sure to provide a great gaming space, a positive environment and a commitment to customer service. after 1 year in business it was decided that Pow Comics and the Connection games would both be better served working together and the Connection Games & Comics was born in a newer, cleaner, larger and all around better location.
We’ve worked hard to learn from our beginnings and we always strive to remember that our success is based on our commitment to customer service and providing a great place to relax and play games with your friends.
Mike Jones, Brendon Lam and Rida Vanderkam are all gamers and comic connoisseurs and we all work very hard to make our store a place that we would love to go. We hope you’ll love coming here too.
Meet the Manager
Rida V.
Manager
Rida Vanderkam started playing Mage knight in late 2001 which was the collectible miniatures game that eventually led to hero clix. in 2003 he was introduced to warhammer 40k and played at the comic shop for about 3 years before moving too far away to keep playing there. the Comic shop was his home away from home and it was there that he learned exactly what he loved about game stores. in 2007 he was given the opportunity to join the Connection Games and he brought his vision of what a game store should be, and what gamers would want from such a place to the store.
«I’ve learned a lot about how to make a game store feel like a second home without letting it turn into someone living room. I’ve worked hard to make our store comfortable while also making sure the place has a lot of class. we’ll never be done but I’m happy with where we are in our goal to make this place the kind of game store I’d personally dream of going to»
