Friday night milongas (tango dance night) at Media Luz are a nice, relaxed way to immerse yourself in the Argentinian tango. There’s a lesson from 8:30 to 9:30 and then the milonga begins. The cost is $ 20 and this includes light refreshments (no alcohol) and as many turns on the dance floor as you can handle until 2 am. The atmosphere here is friendly, and the skill of the dancers ranges from close to beginner to moderately advanced. The music is good, the dj/host Clarry will be sure to come around and talk to you, and overall this is a nice place to try out your fancy, or not so fancy tango footwork.
