Specialties

At Suna Studios we build professional jam spaces for local Vancouver musicians. While we focus on monthly lockouts (for reasonable rates) we also offer «by the hour» rentals from our office on Frances. If you need a monthly lockout, contact us. If we don’t have space yet, we’ll put on our list. We intend to build more studios as our «waiting list» fills up — we have access to the funds, we just need more interested musicians.

In the mean time if you need a place to play for a low hourly rate — we charge $ 15 an hour with NO MINIMUM. So if you want to go bang on drums for an hour, it costs you 15 bucks. Not a bad deal at all!

All of our studios are soundproofed to professional standards. So, while it’s not completely silent (these aren’t recording studios after all) they are nice and quiet, and we are confident you won’t find something better in Vancouver.

We believe a strong local musical community helps make local music a success. Give us a try — you won’t regret it.

Established in 2009.

Suna Studios was founded in 2009 because the owners wanted to jam and there weren’t enough quality spaces out there. We then invited some friends to rent with us, then opened up more rooms. And now we’re here!

I’ve played in many bands in Vancouver for quite a long time. I’m a good drummer and a terrible bass player. I like long walks in the moonlight and making lots of noise. I drive a hearse, dress to impress, can drink a sasquatch under the table (ironically my business partner looks like one) and am passionate about local music, old buildings, pizza and cheesebugers.
